January 21, 20179 yr I personally can't stand being labeled as such. I think the label of either party is painting with a very large brush and attaches me to other people who have somewhat similar beliefs but their priorities are vastly different. I try to never use either term to describe people. Just curious to see how you all feel about it.

January 21, 20179 yr I haven't been registered with either party in over a decade. I probably vote GOP more than Democrat but it's rather close. Doesn't really bother me. I do find it funny that so many have a black/white view on the issue of party affiliation. It also saddens me to an extent.

People ask me if I'm a republican all the time and I say I don't like to think of myself as one. Then they say well you must be a democrat then. It makes me want to pull my hair out.

At first Hillary was the alternative to the crazies on the left and was the one who could work with those on the right and Trump was the alternative to those on the right who basically didn't do anything for the past few years. They both got corrupted.
January 21, 20179 yr No, I vote the person. However, in our county the primary candidates are almost always Democratic. So, I am registered a Democrat. "All politics are local".
January 21, 20179 yr No, I hate group think and sheepish mentality. Only I speak for me. I feel that politicians care more for their party than their own constituents. I get the strategy of it. Forming a platform that can gain control of the branches of government, so that their ideas are represented. I understand the game, I just don't like it. I feel when you are part of political party there is pressure to agree with everything that party stands for.
January 21, 20179 yr I consider myself to be a libertarian/conservative, but for me, the lesser of two evils is always either a Republican or a third-party candidate. I would assume that anybody who categorized me as a Democrat would just be yanking my chain.
January 21, 20179 yr Doesn't bother me at all. I am registered as a Democrat, but am probably more Republican based on what I believe. I consider myself to be right in the middle, if not not to the right a bit.
January 21, 20179 yr Registered Republican, but extremely frustrated with the party as a whole. I haven't voted for President in the General Election since 2008 because of horrible GOP candidates. Seldom, if ever, vote Democrat at the national level, but often vote Democrat at the state and local level. But it doesn't bother me to be called what I am.
