Featured Replies

Looks like Monday came early. The pen. Van Jones on CNN crying about executive actions. This day is getting better all the time.

Not going to lie just got home from work dinner and I pumped my fist when I turned on the TV. Never done a fist pump alone before.

You can love Trump or hate him...but get ready. The dude is not going to mess around. Washington government types are used to moving at glacial speed. Trump does not think or work like that. This is going to be fascinating to watch. D AND R Congressional heads are going to explode in trying to keep up with Trump:lol2:

Correct. He is an executive. He executes/carries things out. I wonder what his psyche will be like when the inevitable stalemate (read: checks and balances) slows him down.

So, what does this mean in practice?

I was trying to do more digging, but I haven't see any real details about what this is going to do.

100% guess on my part, but I think he's going to eliminate the fine.

"Trump also issued a memo to all agencies requesting that they begin to "ease the burden of Obamacare as we transition from repeal to replace," Spicer said. He declined to provide specifics on what various agencies might do in response to the president's directive."

Best I can find. So it sounds like nothing.

Guess he didn't want to wait until Monday like some of you thought.

To do what?

It directs current staffers of the HHS Department not to make any more regulatory changes to ObamaCare. Those people were part FORMER PRESIDENT OBAMA'S ADMINISTRATION (I love saying that) and until a new Secretary is confirmed they could have continued to add regulations to it.

An immediate regulatory freeze is far from nothing. It means that the bureaucrats hired by Obama appointees cannot implement any regulations that might be in the mill until the incoming administration gives them the green light. Hopefully, Trump's action means that the regulatory nightmare for American business is over.

HB20, I believe Trump was quoted as saying he wouldn't start until Monday. Seemed weird that he would say that.
