Did he "ease the burden" for FHA loan holders by increasing their mortgage insurance ?

 

So we have debated an EO that did nothing but encourage lawmakers but no one touched the one that actually did something.

 

Anyone know how many people have FHA mortgages?

Tons were already not paying it. That's one of the main reasons it failed financially. No incentive to pay it. This EO doesn't really change that.

Technically, I guess you would be correct but as far as impact it's none.

So it didn't actually DO anything. It just encouraged or urged lawmakers to start working on it.

 

I posted all I saw on it. I can't really answer that. But, it hasn't even been 24 hours since he's been sworn in. Aren't we expecting a bit much this early on? :lol2:

According to USA Today (hardly a Trump cheerleader) the EO will affect approximately 16% of mortgage holders nationwide, and calling it a raise in premiums is a little disingenuous don't you think? What the EO does is stop a cut that FORMER PRESIDENT OBAMA signed in 11th hour of his presidency to the rate that homeowners pay for mortgage insurance that hadn't taken effect yet. The cut would have saved a home owner $29 a month on a $200,000 mortgage, but hey, just like Obamacare isn't the sacrifice worth it to make sure everyone is protected?
