How did Sophomore Walters play for Cooper? Was he matched up with Walter?

I believe Walters for Cooper had 13, Kunkel with 11.

 

CVH - 12 & Mayer 10 - most of Mayer's points were late.

Guru, Walter's dunk was pretty textbook! I mean no slight but kind of basic but a good offensive set. Cooper player was fronting him, lobbed over the top, no back side rotation and two hand flushed it down

He didn't play terribly but nothing stood out at you with him. Guarded Walters and did decent, gave up a big rebound and put back on a free throw for Cov Cath late in the 4th. Kid has to get more physical which will come he is only a sophomore

Greg Spencer. The guy does a nice job and is a human encyclopedia of rule books.

I hope if they have a rematch that I can make it up to watch it. Sounds like this game was a great game. I noticed that Josh Moore of the Lexington Herald Leader made the trip to NKY to watch this one.

That gym was as loud as I've ever heard it (and I've attended a game or two there) on AJ's and 1.

 

Cooper deserves a ton of credit, they are very, very good. So many big shots. Runion's 3 late was ONIONS.

 

Ruthsatz hit some monster shots.

 

So many players on both sides represented well. That was a high level game in an unbelievable atmosphere.

One thing I thought that CCH did very well that not a lot of teams were able to do was get Kunkel out of his game, forcing it a bit, and speeding him up. A few questionable shots where I think he just wanted to take over but CCH really made it tough on him
