Everyone is stepping up their game tonight!

Why is a seven footer getting a wide open dunk one of the most talked about topics on this thread?

It means if you asked me before the season started that Cooper would lose by only 3 points with their top scorer out due to injury and their starting PG also out due to injury I would have said CCH would win by double digits.

CCH also missing a high level D1 player who is their leading scorer, and another one of their better guys.

The game played out to what most expected.

All hail Qryche11 ... all hail ... LOL

Finally seeing the light I see. Lol

I would be more excited about some type of nice post move and a baby hook shot instead of a routine wide open dunk underneath the basket by a 7 footer.

I understand what you are saying about Cov. Cath. missing players also, but CC has more depth than any team in NKY. Much more impressive showing by the Jags with their two out than Cov.Cath.'s. Hope they meet again with both teams at full strength in the regional tournament.

Congrats to CCH on grinding out the win. Great game and atmosphere. Cooper does what they always do, play hard, but to be out manned on size and strength they certainly made up for it with defense and foot speed to keep them in it and hold several leads.

Kudos to Coach Rusathz for finding the mismatch with :17 left with Ollier guarding Mayer who took full advantage. I saw it immediately right after the timeout and I said "uh oh" and it turned into the winning 3pt play.

Both teams played hard and are clearly the two best teams in NKY. Still many games to be played in the season for both but if they meet again it just might be comparable to the Dixie-NCC matchup about 5-6 years ago.

And maybe in the Commonwealth also!

I hope they meet again too, with both teams at full strength. I am just responding to the notion that this was suppose to be a blowout. Cooper clearly has depth too.

Just who was supposed to be blowing out whom???

I think everyone was pretty much in tune with the fact that it was going to be a close game.

Something to be said when it look at like student body is bigger than the cch or cooper fans. Impressive.

Well at least one poster said CCH was so much "better" and Cooper would give up 71 points and lose by 9. Hmmm. Guess someone forgot to tell the Jags that. Again, congrats to CCH for being the better team tonite but Cooper just held CCH to their lowest score vs any KY team and their 3rd lowest score of the year. Again not a moral victory but a reiteration that these teams are not that far apart and this game could have went either way.
