January 18, 20179 yr Kentucky football defensive coordinator reportedly will take similar job at Colorado So who gets UK's Defensive Coordinator job?
January 19, 20179 yr He was bad for years. Stoops took over and the defense showed life. I'd rather see stoops keep the coordinator and keep fighting for his job.
January 19, 20179 yr If Stoops wants to be in control of the defense like the last part of the 2016 then he will probably hire from within ie House. If he wants to be more of the "CEO" type towards the defense he will hire a relatively big name for UK like he did with Eddie Gran. A lot of his decision will come down who puts their name into the hat.
January 19, 20179 yr Does this thread imply that the HC at Colorado is going to run the defense? It does say similar job.

January 21, 20179 yr I'd have given anythiing for Stoops to have gone after Jim Leavitt. The man can flat coach defense. However, I don't know the relationship between the 2. Leavitt did give Stoops his first real assistant coaching job at the college level in 1996, 1st DB coach at USF. He did this probably as a favor to Bob, who Jim was co-DC with under Bill Snyder at K-State. They may not have gotten along, given Mark was the DB coach at Wyoming when USF took the field for their very first game in 1997.
January 30, 20179 yr Well, it appears Coach Stoops has hired from within for his DC position. According to FootballScoop.com, Stoops is going to promote House to DC. Not surprise by this move, and overall a solid hire as Stoops keeps an experienced coach on staff.
