Anthrax cover of "Carry On My Wayward Son"

Anthrax has done a slew of covers in their career, and all of them done very well. For those of you metal heads with a taste for some vintage, underground metal, check out Anthrax covering the Celtic Frost classic "Dethroned Emporer".

From Sweet, to Rough, to Nasty!

Bonnie Raitt & Norah Jones - "Tennessee Waltz"

Sara Bareilles - "Stoney End" from Laura Nyro's induction into the Rock & Roll HoF.

Noticing a Ronstadt trend, so here's a threefer:

"Willin'," Linda with Emmylou Harris and Nicolette Larson - Live: Lowell George (Little Feat) Tribute

"Tumbling Dice" (The Rolling Stones) & "You're No Good" - Live in Atlanta from 1977. Linda Ronstadt - Fox Theater - (Member Intro) Tumbling Dice - You're No Good - YouTube

The Bangles - "Hazy Shade of Winter" from "Less than Zero." (Simon and Garfunkle)

Mick was actually at one of Ronstadt's concerts and went back stage. She asked him how it was and he said he loved it, but she needed to have more rock. She asked him if she could use one of his songs and chose "Tumbling Dice".

Daryl Hall pays tribute to his Philly blue eyed soul roots. Covering The Soul Survivors "Expressway to Your Heart" with guest Todd Rundgren on - Live from Daryl's House. Rundgren's guitar riff at 2:32 is sa-mokin'. Who knew?

Compare to the original (written by legendary soul producers Gamble & Huff).

On Rufus Wainwright's 2001 release "Poses" he covered his dad, Louden Wainwright III with "One Man Guy'" originally released in 1985.

Definitely a gooder.

For me, there aren't many that come better than this one.

Love it.

I've always felt like the VU original feels right up The Grateful Dead's alley (I wonder if they ever covered it), and that guitar wise this tune must've inspired the Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See" .

Not that I was intentionally trying to, but one time an original tune came out of me in a flash that I call "Movin' On" that after writing it, though it's different, I knew with no doubt in my mind that MTB's "Can't You See" was the inspiration.

Saw Robert Stevenson of British band "A Silent Film" perform Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" last summer on Fountain Square, and it sounded like gold.

Really dug hearing him with his British accent taking the reins on this one, especially when he says "Dancing in the Dark".

The late Terry Kath on guitar, on a live cover of The Spencer Davis Group's, "I'm a Man." This version may need more cowbell.

The original, with Steve Winwood on vocals and Hammond organ.

The original, as soundtrack on Mad Men. Because what other music would be playing behind footage of Don Draper.

Tell me if this one is as good as, or better, than the original? This was done 5 years ago all acoustic, these guys can FLAT OUT play and sing!!!

Coincidentally I was just jammin' out to the Spencer Davis Group version two days ago. Love this tune turned up nice and loud. :thumb:

"I'm a Man" is a great tune. Love Terry Kath. Genius.

Cathy Richardson really nails it with her rendition of "White Rabbit." I really enjoy listening to Cathy.

Absolutely rockin' cover of the Temptations hit.

The Faces version of I'm Losing You is one of my all-time favorite songs...on top of being one of my all-time favorite cover songs.
