January 14, 20179 yr I'm with you on the Lebetard show. I use to hate them, but they've grown on me. I was in the car with my girlfriend the other day and they were interviewing George Karl and Stu Gotz asked him what it was like coaching Karl Malone and John Stockton (which obviously George Karl didn't coach them) and I started laughing. My girlfriend was like why are you laughing they just messed up? I replied with, "You don't get the show." That was probably the first time I realized that I was starting to like Lebetard. So you think Gotz knew that and asked anyway? I wouldn't be so sure. Even if he did, that is such an ignorant question I would have probably turned the channel instead of laughing. That isn't entertaining on any level to me.

That isn't entertaining on any level to me.Yeah Stu Gotz is a lot smarter than we give him credit for. That's the essence of their show. If you listen to it enough you kind of gain an appreciation of it. The people know it going into the show. George Karl even let out a chuckle when asked. It's just part of the show. It rubbed me the wrong way at first, but now it's kind of a nice change of pace compared to most shows.

January 14, 20179 yr YOUDON'TGETTHESHOW! No I get it. Acting stupid isn't funny to me. Stu Gotz playing stupid gets on my nerves. I can see how that Karl interview could have played out more entertaining that what it sounded in the first post. It isn't entertaining to me even if it was a joke. The LeBatard show isn't a sports show. It is like two guys sitting at a bar half drunk often making ignorant statements. There might be a laugh or two in there but it is not something I want to waste my time on for more than a few minutes.
January 14, 20179 yr Am I the only one that questions why a "personality" is paid 6.5 million? There's no one on that network that I think is worth 10% of that figure (and it's not jealousy). I get that the network pays huge sums of money to broadcast games...that's the stuff I want to watch. But remember this absurd salary the next time your cable bill increases.
January 14, 20179 yr For the record Lebatard is probably my favorite show. I really enjoyed Bomani as well but since we last our ESPN affiliate i listen to the Cincinnati station on IHeart radio ap and they don't air his show.

January 14, 20179 yr It's one of the things I dislike about Fox. They are obsessed with ESPN to an almost unhealthy level. Makes them look small. I don't ever hear ESPN rag on other networks and often Mike and Mike will have personalities on their show from the other networks. There are a lot of things about ESPN I don't like but I think they get this right. Don't give ESPN too much credit for this strategy. It's not like they're the first front-runner that stayed that way by not acknowledging the rodent-like dog nipping at their heels. It would look much more petty for ESPN personalities to start bagging on Fox Sports or NBC or anybody else. It would look like … how Donald Trump does when he responds to every slight with a Twitter outburst. Just let it go. Nothing to be gained from it. Why give your distant competitor a leg up by giving them free advertising through acknowledgement on your much-more-highly-visible platform?
January 17, 20179 yr I think Clay Travis is far more entertaining than anything on ESPN Radio. I'd love to know the real ratings too.

January 17, 20179 yr Would Russillo take his spot? I actually like the younger Golic a lot, so wouldn't mind that. Travis is awful. Like someone else mentioned the way he and the rest of Fox obsesses with ESPN is embarrassing.
