No I get it. Acting stupid isn't funny to me. Stu Gotz playing stupid gets on my nerves. I can see how that Karl interview could have played out more entertaining that what it sounded in the first post. It isn't entertaining to me even if it was a joke.

 

The LeBatard show isn't a sports show. It is like two guys sitting at a bar half drunk often making ignorant statements. There might be a laugh or two in there but it is not something I want to waste my time on for more than a few minutes.

The only radio personality I like on ESPN is Russilo. The only things I consume from ESPN , live sports, 30 for 30 , Russilo and Kannel, and an occasional midnight sportscenter because I enjoy SVP.

 

ESPN is making many bad business moves and I don't think most see the forest througj the trees. Their ratings and subscribers will continue to drop not only because of cord cutting but because of programming decisions.

I'm floored so many people still listen to these shows. I'm a podcast guy 100% of the time. Can't stand these overproduced radio shows with terrible generic takes and 15 commercials every hour.

Not sure if its lazy or that I'm just not as tech savvy as I should be, but I just don't mess with it.

 

Got my commute timed that during Mike & Mike commercial, Clay Travis gets about 7 minutes of my time.

They need to get away from the obvious politicizing of most conversations and the obvious slant in those discussions.

 

If I ran a sports related business I would want to be percieved as politically neutral because I want consumers on both sides of aisle. Then with the occasional dip into politics when necessary I would want to make sure both sides of argument are heard .

 

On the actual programing I really don't know what else they could do outside of getting into actual tv shows or movies.

 

I don't mind heated debate. But I tune into the Cowherd and Whitlock show on FS1 if I watch any sports related TV.

 

SportsCenter used to be must watch TV for me but with the internet it is irrelevant. If I'm not watching live sports I either watch actual TV shows, Movies or something Barstoolsports related.

I am not all podcasts, but I do my fair share. And when I say "podcasts," I include the shows produced on television (First Take, etc.) so that I can avoid commercials. Love it with the blue tooth. I get out of my car and it stops, then begins where I left off upon return. All the radio shows are on there and it is the way to go.

Completely agree. Though I've found myself caring less and less about sports podcasts. I listen occasionally if I see one with what appears to be an interesting guest or if a compelling topic is going to be discussed.
