June 5, 20179 yr Met the Mrs. at Knotty pine on the way home from the airport on Thursday. Had Moe's that was catered at a grad party Saturday night. Took the mother in law to Barlercorns yesterday for lunch.
June 23, 20179 yr June 10th after a football game in Mansfield, the ticket had buy one big mac and get one free. Now the last time I had a big mac, I seem to recall they were 2 bucks and change, this time one big mac at the McDonald's in Mansfield, Ohio was 4.19. Total bill 4.19. June 20th was my first day of eating hot food since June 17th(Was really ill)so I stopped by the Donatos pizza to eat their buffet. The last time I went there the buffet was 4.99, I believe. This time the buffet was 6.99. I had water with my pizza. Total bill was 9.00 with tip. I basically tipped the waitress 1.50 to take 4 steps to the fountain and 4 steps to my table,to fill up my glass. She was there before the glass was empty.

July 6, 20179 yr I read somewhere that the Maysville Fazoli's opening weekend was the biggest opening weekend in franchise history. If so, it wouldn't be a shock to me. Maysville might be a little bitty town, but I'm not sure many cook at home here.

Continously amazes me where everyone in Maysville(and surrounding areas) gets their money. The Wal-Mart and JC Penney are 2 of the top seller's in the state as well, number 1 in their region/district. What am I missing?
July 6, 20179 yr We ate at the new MacKenzie River in Crestview Hills. It was very good. I had the prosciutto and grape flatbread, daughter had the street tacos, wife had the MacKenzie River pizza, and the boys had the kid's pizza.

The Wal-Mart and JC Penney are 2 of the top seller's in the state as well, number 1 in their region/district. What am I missing? The main reason could be geography. An hour to Cincinnati, an hour to Lexington, an hour and a half to Ashland/Huntington, 50 miles to another bridge across the Ohio. My guess is that a 120-mile round trip is a deterrent to many.
July 8, 20179 yr Had dinner at the Purple Poulet Friday evening with friends. The fried chicken dinner was fabulous! Four pieces of chicken (breast, leg, wing and thigh), green beans, buttermilk-bacon whipped potatoes with black pepper gravy and an extra side of creole grits. Not sure I've ever had better fried chicken. The grits were out of this world delicious! Heck, the whole dinner was!
July 8, 20179 yr Ate at a place called Jimmies yesterday on the other end of lake Norris. 40 mile boat ride. Fun day.
July 11, 20179 yr Love to go to Cracker Barrel on Friday's and get the fried Cod fish. It is really good. Had a new item on the menu, brussel sprout and kale salad as a side. It was great. Always get their greens and a bowl of onions and apple butter. Price is great just 9.00. I will get water with a bowl of lemons.

July 15, 20179 yr Ate at the Chop House for our 44th wedding anniversary tonight. We ate on the patio. I had grilled Cod fish, chopped salad, and snow peas. Hubby had their very thick pork chop, baked potato and cinnamon apples. For a appetizer we had crab cakes and grilled shrimp. All very good. This week is burger week in Lexington. We brought home their special burger to our son. Burger was only $5.00. It was a 1/2 lb burger with a cheese I had never heard of and fried red onion rings on top. It looked great.
July 15, 20179 yr Raising Canes in Georgetown KY after a picking trip. Fingers and sauce were great, no ice in the soda machines (but they had some under the counter); tables dirty. Good thing I like their chicken.
