I loved Damon's and didn't know any were still open. I also love brisket so I'll try the Blue Door.

It's over in the Chevy Chase area on Walton Avenue, just off Winchester Road. I never even knew it was there. Small place, excellent food.

You mentioned Damon's, as in the sports bar type restaurant? We used to have one in Ashland and I know they are popular in Ohio so that's why I was curious. I loved that place, their prime rib was excellent. When I was a kid we used to go to the one in Ashland once a week for dinner and play trivia while watching ballgames.

Yes same chain of restaurants.

My daughter and the pseudo-son-in-law took us to Boca (Kitchen, Bar, and Market) in the Hyde Park section of Tampa. It boasts market fresh farm to table cuisine. They claim every food item on the menu is produced locally. In fact, they grow the salad on a wall inside the restaurant. Trendy and with some strange offerings, but it was good food.

I had the prime skirt steak as my entree. Mrs. S had smoked meatloaf.

The roasted corn succotash was amazing.

Had jet's pizza again . It was so good. Found out they have 2 in Lexington.

Ate at this little restaurant in Middleburg Heights called Jennifer's. Only open 6-2pm.Specializes in brunch foods. Husband had biscuits garvey and waffles. I had cod fish sandwich and FF it was so good. Love to find hidden gems like this.

As far as the Tampa area goes, I absolutely love The Lucky Dill. The Reuben is awesome.

Coming down there next week and plan on digging in....

Home of the sandwich that ate Brooklyn.

BOGO corned beef sandwiches all day every Monday and Reuben Fest is on Wednesdays.

It's not far from Molly Goodhead's, either. I recommend that place for seafood.

I've heard of Molly Goodhead's but haven't made it there yet. It may be on the list for this trip. Got a favorite dish Swamprat?

Stopped at Skyline Tavern for some wings and the wife had a burger.

I'll take their wings over BW3's and Barleycorn's all day.

I have lived within 5 miles off this place my whole life and I have never gone in. I have to change that.

Ate at cracker barrel. Had the Sunday special of fried chicken, 2 orders of greens, onion, cornbread, and apple butter. As always it was very good.

Just a little whole in the wall place, but I think their food is pretty good and better price than the chains on 27.

We had our puppy with us yesterday, so we sat out on the patio.

Grouper sandwich.

Mac and Erma's last night. I had the spinach and tomato salad with chicken and hot bacon dressing. Very good.
