January 4, 20179 yr Well if you read the report of the rape then you will wonder how a coach could support his players who are supporting what was done to that woman. I read it last night and its pretty bad.
January 4, 20179 yr Craig Bohl and Bo Pellini are two names I have heard that could land in Minnesota. Bohl is the Wyoming coach and former coach at NDSU that was in the running last time.
January 4, 20179 yr Why are people upset at Minnesota for their thoughts and actions surrounding an assault of a woman? Apparently by 11 football players. Ever heard of Baylor?
January 4, 20179 yr Not if alumni contributions stop. Alumni need to step in and assert themselves in this case. Make it clear that if this decision stands, $ will dry up. You're assuming that the alumni are not on board with the decision. I'm not sure we know that to be the case.

This. A whole bunch of people seem to think the administration is wrong in all of this, and automatically jump to support the students. Personally I don't think that is the case.

I read it last night and its pretty bad. Do you also realize that after an investigation no charges were brought against any of the players? I'd say most of the reason the players were upset was that nothing was being said or clarified by the administration to them. Sometimes clarity is all that's needed.
January 4, 20179 yr This. A whole bunch of people seem to think the administration is wrong in all of this, and automatically jump to support the students. Personally I don't think that is the case. If it was a moral or ethical issue, the firing would have been immediate.

I'd say most of the reason the players were upset was that nothing was being said or clarified by the administration to them. Sometimes clarity is all that's needed. I do remember them making a statement that they couldn't release the information in an ongoing investigation, for the protection of the players.

No charges for UMN Gopher football players in sex case, after 2nd review Lots of details in here I can't post. And no, I can't support those kids or the coach who supports them.
January 4, 20179 yr What those guys did to her was so morally and ethically wrong. Even the one she trusted took advantage of her. I think I read somewhere where she worked in be football office or something like that. I hope it's a lesson to girls not to be drunk to where they can be took advantage of.
