9-4 with a bowl win. Administration must have a serious axe to grind with Claeys stemming from his support of the boycott.

Regardless of what side you fall on in this matter it just seems like a huge hornet's nest to step into if you are a head coaching candidate. They will have difficulty finding a good coach to replace him.

I hope the players make a statement in some form or fashion

I am curious as to what statement you think the players should make.

On average, UM puts 1 player a year into the pros. The other 95% are counting on the education they get from an outstanding educational school to support themselves for the rest of their lives.

I think that the university should tell anyone who wants to transfer they are free to transfer. Also, anyone who wants to stay is welcome with open arms.

Then the players and their families better think real hard about what is the best decision for their futures. In most cases, I would think, it would mean transfer to a lesser institution.

Sucks, but life is about making decisions that will benefit you and your future.

Money will bring in a new coach.

It sounds like they had better prepare for losing quite a few players regardless who the next coach is.

Transfer out last minute.... leaving not much to work with in terms of players would be fine by me

Not if alumni contributions stop. Alumni need to step in and assert themselves in this case. Make it clear that if this decision stands, $ will dry up.
