You also have the women's team to factor in there.

I think NKU should have full rights to BB&T Arena, but we've seen the management team move them out in favor of other events.

If they can move the women's team to Regents for HS games (or was that some other event?), I'd think they could do about whatever they wanted in regards to moving them.

All depends on contracts I guess.

They will play on the Ohio side somewhere. No way they bring any business to Kentucky.

This seems like a no-brainer to me. US Bank arena sits empty most of the time and UC needs an arena next season. What other option is there in Cincinnati? I agree that UC will not want to play in NKY (possibly one game but not the entire season).

I think it's a pretty interesting question given the dynamics of how BB&T arena works.

I'd imagine that BB&T would have to work around NKU's schedule, but I could see them forcing this upon NKU. That management group is out to make more money and probably host more events in the arena.

Unless NKU negotiated a clause saying no other college team can use the facility they've got no say. They do not have any leverage in this either.

The company that runs the arena will do what's best for them financially.

Other than being close and you don't have to deal with Cincy, I'd like to see them there. Some numbers:

Seating capacities

USBank Arena - 17,556

BB&T Arena - 9,400 (basketball)

Average attendance at UC men's games for 2015/16 - 9,334.

They're getting almost 10k? Huggy would be proud.

They each play a max of two games a week. I feel like they should be able to figure it out.

If the agreement will allow UC to use their own floor, you do have to factor in a few hours between games.

UC has the option of using NKU / BB&T, but several key people at UC prefer US Bank Arena.

Will be interesting to keep track of.

Anyway you could see them using both facilities or do you think that it would be one or the other?

For UC sake i would rather see them use US Bank and Cintas or a combination of the two rather than have any dealings with BBT Arena.

If you honestly think UC would play a game as the home team at Cintas, I've got some beach front property in Siberia you might be interested in.

It all comes down to money, and the UC Bank folks are playing hardball because UC is renovating their own arena and not investing in the dump on the river. My guess is they play at BB&T and bring their own floor to play on. Should know a decision in the next two weeks or so...

I wish they were investing in the dump on the river because that place is awful despite its location. If they play a season at BB&T I'll be cool with that since I live in Highland Heights. I worked on the conversion staff there from 2008-2013, I would think bring their own floor wouldn't be an issue, there is plenty of storage and court to court change over wouldn't be difficult or to time consuming.

I think they should keep the ball in Cincy, play at US Bank Arena, No way they play at Cintas as the home team, and it would be a bit odd for them to comeover to KY to play home games, US Bank Arena is in the same city.

US Bank Arena is a dump. It is one of the worst standing arenas in the country. UC should have no business playing there if they refuse to make a deal anywhere close to what the BB&T management is offering...

Forgetting the "dump" factor at US Bank, I'd much rather play in front of packed houses at BB&T than what will always look like an empty house down on the river.
