So what will happen when NKU & UC both have games scheduled at the same time (because it will happen)?

Just thinking out loud but I'd say there are two options.

1. Play 5-on-5 halfcourt and winners play each other

2. One school will change their game time.

My guess is they go with 2 but 1 would be fun.

I don't have much desire to attend a UC basketball game on their campus, but I do think I would attend a couple at BB&T.

Just talked to a UC grad who is "in the bis", he says he thinks USBank will get a few "big" games and the rest will be sent to BB&T.

Same, I would attend a game at NKU.

That doesn't give me an answer. Why would NKU (or Xavier) be on board with this? It makes no sense. It's not their job to accommodate UC. They have their own schedules to worry about. No reason to throw in another team to add confusion.

NKU does not need to be on board. The arena is run privately. It's all about the revenue. I'm sure there is a contract involved that would give NKU priority in scheduling.

As long as the bolded is true, I'm okay with it. Somehow I doubt that'd be the case though.

They're getting almost 10k? Huggy would be proud.

I agree, I find that number hard to believe. Especially from highlights I've seen.

Cincy fans suck (not just UC but all are fickle). Plus you have to figure in the Ohio river factor. It seems it is a half mile going to Cincy but for an Ohioan it is 500 miles to cross into KY. Not sure they would travel all the way across that huge body of water to watch the Bearcats.

Their attendance goes up in conference play. I'm sure @gametime can probably tell us the avg attendance from January on.

I'm sure US Bank arena has some sort of contract with long-time tenant the Cyclones. And with the Globetrotters and the Circus and Sesame Street/Disney shows that are there every Winter and are profitable. Add in all the concert dates they can muster at the arena and UC would hard pressed to find enough dates for all the games but certainly could find dates for some. And I'm sure UC wants to space their tough non-conference games and the conference games accordingly and not just squeeze them in at odd dates and times when US Bank arena is available. Games at NKU would make sense parking-wise on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday which is likely when US Bank arena will be occupied.

Same here, especially since I'm a UC fan.

Using this year's UC schedule and the US Bank arena schedule the US Bank Arena would have been occupied for 6 of the 13 UC Home games scheduled from Dec to the end of the season.

US Bank Arena has 13 of 31 dates occupied in December. 10 of 31 in January 2017. 12 of 28 in Feb 2017. 14 of 31 in March 2017. That is not counting days the arena would not be available due to set up or take down for things like the circus or concerts.

I think they could use the Big Practice Bubble at UC, put a court in there use the current seats for Football and Add end Bleachers and court seats...Kinda like the Fieldhouse that Butler uses...
