How can you not put this on Dalton???

All you Dalton lovers answer me this.

What has Dalton ever done????? Seriously what has he ever done to continually get a free pass from everyone. He has hardly ever done anything in crunchtime in his entire career against a good team to get us a win when we are either barely leading g or behind. He is so horrible. He has had plenty of time to prove himself. He can't carry AJ McCarron's jock.

He chokes every game against any good team in the 2nd half.

Bengals are now something like 1-12-1 in the last 14 games against teams with winning records yet you all continue to defend a loser who has never done anything but beat bad teams in his career.

I'm not saying Dalton is the greatest QB ever but he is not the main problem of the collapse this year. And he did set records for leading a team to the playoffs the first 5 years of a career so it isn't like he has done nothing.

AJ McCarron may be a decent NFL QB or he may not be. There is no way to tell with as little as he has played. In any event I do not think it would matter if Dalton, AJ, or Tony Romo was at QB this year for the Bengals. Age has a big role along with not really getting as much out of the two OTs drafter last year and the DB and NT drafted this year (due to injury). And Marvin simply cannot adjust a game plan to overcome any of that or any changes the opposition makes during a game.

There is a difference between having a concussion and being evaluated for a concussion.

Great to meet you today! Glad you and your son got to see a Steelers W.

Nice to meet you to. Me and my son had a great time at the party.

I understand you don't like Andy Dalton. But why the love for AJ Mccarron? I understand he is the back up and the back up is the most loved player on the team. But what has AJ proved to you that he is head and shoulders above Andy? There were 9 other quarterbacks taken before him so many other NFL teams did not have a good feeling about him. He came into the game with Pitt last year, for a 10-2 team, midway through the first quarter and they lost that game. Andy was having an MVP type season last year when he got hurt. AJ lost the Pit game and then backed it up going 2-2 down the stretch. So, why do you think AJ is the savior for this team?

Score board at the game said concussion.

It said Concussion Protocol when I saw it.

Hope your party was better than the game.

It was a great get together. You and the Mrs. have to stop by when you guys are in the area.

That means he is being evaluated, not necessarily out. It gets confusing.

Why do I think AJ would be a better fit? Because he already proved in college and last year in limited playing time he is a much better leader. He also proved in the playoff game he could do several things that Andy Dalton never could do in 4 prior years in the playoffs and that is lead the team back from a huge deficit and get the team in position to win a playoff game with a min left in the game. Dalton has never even had a lead in the post season that I can remember.

I think this is the definitive statement on Marvin Lewis. He is now 3-12 in his last 15 games versus the Steelers. Yet every game versus the Steelers he comes in with the same defensive philosophy - don't blitz, keep Ben in the pocket. That philosophy is 3-12, 1-7 in the last 8. Still no changes. Just keeps believing that it will somehow work. That is his coaching philosophy too. He is going to coach a game the way he coaches it and nothing is going to change that. He will coach conservative, not to lose football. There will be a ton of close games. And this team will lose the vast majority of those close games to winning teams playing that way. Still no changes.

Sure was great seeing everyone this morning. BM and his lovely wife are spectacular hosts. Good to see nkuclubball, lawildcat, birdbrain, Ru and the usuals. But especially cool to finally meet TheDeuce and his pops as well as FF74 and his boy. Just good folks. As for the game, glad I had good gear. Weird game. Poor officiating, sloppy play and cold temps made the game typical North football. Had a great day with my boys. I cherish those.

AD led Bengals were up two scores against the Chargers and then AD had an awful 2nd half. That probably supports your concern, but the has had leads more than once.

HB you know I think AD is not their problem and wasn't today and hasn't been the whole season. He had one horrible throw and two where he was late with inside pressure. The defense was awful. They took the Raven approach and that was play a deep cover two and make them go the whole field.

The difference is the Ravens get pressure on Ben, the Bengals didn't. They held Bell to 93 rushing yards and AB didn't kill them deep or a bunch of catches. With no rush the Ben was able to let guys like Rogers find the seams or dump to Bell or thee tight end. You cannot do that defense if you can't somewhat pressure Ben.

The offense could not get a rhythm the 2nd half because of horrible 1st down yardage. They were going to run it down their throats and were beginning to, but never could get that going in the 2nd half because of down and distance.

It is easy to blame the QB, but he was/is not their problem. We are going to have AD for the next 5-8 years if he stays healthy. No reason not to.

Now Marvin is another story.

Just another typical 2nd half collapse by the Bengals after letting the other team stay close at halftime. Had the offense put up tds instead of fgs in the 1st half the game would have been 28-9 at half but after having great field position twice first and goal inside the 10 they tried to run the ball twice on each posession and settled for fgs. Time to go Marvin.

We truly enjoy hosting. I am glad you guys ate a lot of the chili or I would be eating it for a week as much as the lovely lady made. I love it but not every day.

See everyone next year.

If Marvin Lewis isn't seen as the biggest problem of any for the Bengals, he never will to some. Mike Brown is equally the issue too. If Marvin was coaching anywhere else in the league, he was long gone well before now. Mike Brown will settle for mediocrity and worse. It's far beyond this season with regard to Marvin, he can't game plan or have control of a team to save his life.
