Why do we care what they do as long as it is legal? It was legal 4 years ago, 8 years ago, 20 years ago...but no one has chosen to go there. But they could have. In the end, DJT will be POTUS and many of us will just ride it out. There are many possibilities of a DJT presidency that scare me that I have 0 control over. I'm not wasting my time energy and sanity on them. Regardless of this movement, the reality is that DJT is the Supreme Ruler of the US. As his minions have forcefully told me over and over, he won, so shut up.

That was a poor weak statement by rjs4470 to defend the snowflakes.

 

Who am I defending?? We heard the constant talk from Trump that the system was rigged in the weeks leading up to the election. Whining about the issue before the election is no better than whining after it.

 

I'm not defending the group that's pushing for these recounts/calls for faithless electors (though I'm also not insulting them by calling them names). It's a pointless, useless exercise that won't change a thing. Trump is going to take office in January. Folks need to get over it and move on.

They are already tabulated but are certified by Congress in early January. It's over. Time to start thinking about egg nog and candy canes and Santa!

I think we can. We don't elect a president by the popular vote, thankfully. Through the EC, the correct way for this country to elect a president IMO, the will of the people has been answered. I would say the same thing had Trump won the popular vote but Hillary won the EC.

 

Also, the popular vote may have turned out totally different if it decided the election. I'm sure that millions and millions on both sides in states such as Ca., NY & Ky did not vote because they knew that their state was already decided.

 

Trump won, whether we like it or not, so the country might as well get behind him and get/stay on the right path.

 

It seems really ironic to me that the same people who were bashing Trump for refusing to say that he would accept the outcome of the election are now themselves refusing to accept it.

I just heard an elector interviewed from Pennsylvania. Between election day and yesterday (six weeks) he has received 70,000 emails, over 2,000 letters and over 500 phone calls from people trying to get him to change his vote. The post office had to have one person just deal with his mail for a week or two. This is crazy. I mean these lunatics pretty much screwed up his life for a month and a half...totally ridiculous...and he is not the only one...multiple this by about 100 or more. He had women calling him crying on the phone. He said he had a 7 year old calling him saying he was afraid of Trump. How could a 7 year old be scared of any politician? I feel bad for that kid because his parents are deranged.
