I think we can. We don't elect a president by the popular vote, thankfully. Through the EC, the correct way for this country to elect a president IMO, the will of the people has been answered. I would say the same thing had Trump won the popular vote but Hillary won the EC.

 

 

But the ultimate decider is the EC voter, correct? If the EC voter legally makes a vote how is that any different than a candidate losing the popular vote but gaining the office via the electoral count ? You can't pick and choose which legal method you support.

Key word in all of this "IF". Electors are bound by the voting will of the people in states won by President Elect Trump. Your "IF" is the same as an old sayin from my Mother, " IF wishes were horses, beggars could fly." "IF" Electors could change their vote legally, would I support that vote?" "IF" NASA could legally guarantee I would survive a trip to Mars and back, would I go? Answer to both questions is NO, because both are based on an "IF" that is impossible.

I've already stated that my belief is based on the fact that they are following election laws of this country. So the "if it goes against the Constitution..." is a waste of discussion.

Clyde I guess it comes down to the fact I am tired of Election #2016 from both sides. Thats actually the best answer I can give you and be politically correct.
