Why do we care what they do as long as it is legal? It was legal 4 years ago, 8 years ago, 20 years ago...but no one has chosen to go there. But they could have. In the end, DJT will be POTUS and many of us will just ride it out. There are many possibilities of a DJT presidency that scare me that I have 0 control over. I'm not wasting my time energy and sanity on them. Regardless of this movement, the reality is that DJT is the Supreme Ruler of the US. As his minions have forcefully told me over and over, he won, so shut up.

Again, for the few posters on here that think others on here are "bothered that electors are being lobbied to vote differently", what I'm saying and see others saying is basically get over it. You lost. Move on. Did we see this in the two prior elections? No. Why? Apparently, those on the right can handle a loss. Those on the left, not so much. And no, I don't mean all on the left, but way too many. Maybe this is what happens when you expect a village to raise a child instead of it's parents. :woot:

Of course any lobbying effort will turn out fruitless, and I don't personally know anyone who thinks anything could prevent a Trump presidency. Still, can we at least agree that the majority of Hilary supporters would feel a lot more comfortable about our future if we were about to elect a President Romney, Rubio, or Kasich? Let's not pretend that the PEOTUS hasn't driven us to this point by running such a divisive campaign. I think what is being lost in every discussion is that we aren't arguing about our favorite sports teams versus their fiercest rival. Many people are genuinely scared.

I seriously doubt there will be....more accurately, there's a snowballs chance in hell, that it will happen. I hope it doesn't happen. But it does show the quirks and warts of the electoral college system. Quite frankly, I'm surprised this hasn't been an issue before. But I'm fairly sure this won't be the last time something like this occurs, unless the system gets addressed.

 

No one in modern history has acted like the Left has in losing this election. It should be embarrassing to them.

I agree many on the left would be more comfortable with the others you mentioned. But scared? What are they scared of? He isn't going to be a king. He can't just do whatever he wants. I think too many people are falling for all of the fear mongering.
