Jesse James Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Ohio passes 'heartbeat' abortion bill; leader cites Trump's election - CNNPolitics.com From the article: CNN)Donald Trump's election, and a presumption that he'll appoint conservative Supreme Court justices, spurred Ohio Republicans to pass what would effectively be the nation's strictest time-based abortion law, a legislator said. Ohio lawmakers on Tuesday passed a controversial "Heartbeat Bill" that would ban abortions in that state from the moment the heartbeat of a fetus can be detected -- which usually occurs about six weeks into a pregnancy.
woodsrider Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) On a related note, a friend of mine on facebook shared a story about this and I made the mistake of reading through some of the comments. Any democrat or supposed progressive that tries to feed you a line of mess about the right or republicans being the party of hate is an idiot. The way we treat each other when we have different opinions on a subject makes me sad. Edited December 14, 2016 by spindoc

InItToWinIt Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 "This is ridiculous, it imposes on a women's rights!" It's ridiculous to keep babies' hearts beating. Okay.

Jumper_Dad Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 So a state can pass a law that directly goes against supreme court rulings? States pass laws all of the time that violate federal law.
Bert Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 So a state can pass a law that directly goes against supreme court rulings? No worse than states that pass laws that violate the 2nd Amendment.
