I have to admit, I actually enjoyed Dakich calling the game.

I usually can't stand the guy. Last night, he just couldn't quit gushing about UK. You'd think he was an alumnus . (Clearly there was reason to gush. They were outstanding.)

If that's what happened, it definitely wasn't an assist. But who knows if ESPN even showed the right play.

Maybe a hockey guy was keeping the book.

We went to the Asbury exhibition game. Although you can't take much away from a game like that. I told the missus that Fox and Monk were going to be special.

Captain Obvious, signing off.

Are the Cat's peaking too soon?

Definitely. They need a loss soon to knock em down a peg or two....

Who says they peaked? :sssh:

Seriously though I think Bam and Wenyen have only scratched the surface of what they are capable of.

Agreed. Killeya-Jones is the forgotten man right now, something tells me he's gonna be a factor.

ESPN claims he didn't really get a triple-double. They say he got credit for an assist that wasn't an assist

The thing about the assist issue mentioned by ESPN is Fox left the game with almost 5 minutes left, I suppose with Cal thinking he had his triple double. He could have easily gotten a couple more assists with that much time left. ESPN failed to mention that possibility.

No, they actually did mention that.

No, they actually did mention that.

:thumb: I stand corrected. I didn't notice that when I watched it.

So, will the triple-double stand or will it be changed to a double-double? I don't know about Fox but a record of that magnitude, only the second triple-double in UK basketball history, would bother me if I knew every time it was mentioned it would have an asterisk with it.

Bilis stating that UNC is the best team in the country, likes their maturity over UK. I'm happy to hear this and look forward to seeing the best team in the country play the Cats in a few weeks.

I don't think this UK team is nervous about playing anyone in the nation. They seem to have tons of confidence and a little swagger. But I do agree with Bilis that UNC is more mature and experienced than the Cats. Meeks seems like has been there for 6 years.

I would think that ESPN doesn't have the power to change it. If the official scorer of the game called it an assist at the time, I'd think it remains an assist and he has a Triple Double.

Only stat correction that ESPN can do is Fantasy.

I'm totally making this up, but it sounds right to me.
