November 25, 20169 yr Herman and LSU are just helping each other out. They know if they make it look like they are about to reach a deal. That it means Texas will probably come all out for Herman now, and also means FSU Coach may bring down his asking price if LSU is where he really wants to be out. So LSU and Herman are just helping each other out in getting what they want by making it look like they almost have a deal. This is probably not true at all, but I'm just throwing another idea out there.
November 25, 20169 yr LSU w/ the Houston connection, that's huge. And if Karma is a true natural force, then this will happen b/c the way Texas has treated Strong deserves this type of retribution.
November 25, 20169 yr Texas is also probably the main reason that the Big 12 didn't add any teams this year to their league. Texas didn't want Houston in the league and their recruiting/market area, and I'm sure that didn't sit well with Herman.

That will be a really interesting dynamic too. Kyle Allen the #1 QB in the 2015 class transferred from A&M to Houston to play for Tom Herman.

November 25, 20169 yr Where is Gametime? Back when Texas was trying to get Saban, he was absolutely adamant that the Texas job was the best in the country due to the talent the State of Texas produces.
November 25, 20169 yr Those who are bashing Texas because of the boosters/ administration have quickly forgotten how Alabama football and UK basketball were perceived before Saban and Calipari got there respectively. People across the country said much of the same things about those two jobs. All Texas takes is the right guy at the helm to turn it around. Now both UK and Alabama are viewed as the top job or top 3 job in their sports all because of 1 coach.
