I thought I saw something that said they offered him a contract worth 6.8M/year and he turned it down. I'll do some more research. FSU has stated they will 'strengthen' Jimbo's contract this offseason.

He said FSU has a chance to the best team ever assembled under him within the next 2 years. I saw it either on FSU's 247 sports page or an article out of Florida
November 27, 20169 yr I hope it happens. I don't want to lose Jimbo. I wouldn't either, he's clearly the better coach IMO.
November 27, 20169 yr Does Herman get any Saban-esque blowback from his interview before the Memphis game where, I think, he said the LSU reports were "absolutely false" and that not even his agent had had any discussions about other jobs? I know he's in a no-win situation, but you usually just say "we've got 1 job today and that is to beat Memphis. I am the HC at Houston."
November 29, 20169 yr Herman had a terrible year at Houston this year with the expectations Houston had. He was expected to win league and finished tied for 3rd in his division. Is anyone worried? He lost to Navy, SMU, and Memphis. Don't forget that they not only dealt with the rumors of Herman leaving the week of Memphis loss - that they also dealt with being the "prohibitive favorite" for Big 12 expansion until Big 12 decided otherwise - that was same week as SMU loss. Had to be a huge let down for those boys going from everyone saying they were in to back to the American.
