November 21, 20169 yr Donald Trump’s media summit was a firing squad’ | New York Post Donald Trump scolded media big shots during an off-the-record Trump Tower sitdown on Monday, sources told The Post. “It was like a firing squad,” one source said of the encounter. “Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said ‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed,’ ” the source said. “The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added. November 22, 20169 yr I cannot tell you how much I would have liked to hear both sides talking in that meeting!
November 22, 20169 yr Author A second source confirmed the fireworks. “The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks,” the other source said. “Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong.’ He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was [a] network of liars,” the source said. “Trump didn’t say [NBC reporter] Katy Tur by name, but talked about an NBC female correspondent who got it wrong, then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when Hillary lost who hosted a debate – which was Martha Raddatz who was also in the room.” The stunned reporters tried to get a word in edgewise to discuss access to a Trump Administration.
November 22, 20169 yr I wonder what the next 4 years will bring. It should be interesting, to be sure. An aside, I now know who inspires Gov Bevin
November 22, 20169 yr It's going to be hilarious to follow this Presidency. I'm already annoyed by it.
November 22, 20169 yr It's going to be hilarious to follow this Presidency. Like him or hate him, he is just changing all the rules when it comes to dealing with the media. I find it absolutely hilarious that he publicly calls the media out. The media hates him. He knows it. They know he knows it. He knows that they know that he knows it. So he just says screw it...you aren't going to treat me fairly so why should I treat any media fairly...or at least the media he hates the most like Zucker and CNN. I just love it...
November 22, 20169 yr If any group needs to be called down and receive a reality check, it's media execs. I just don't believe that Trump is the one who should be doing it.
November 22, 20169 yr Interesting write-up over at Zero-hedge. Maybe debate host Martha Raddatz has something to really cry about now.
November 22, 20169 yr Author He is telling the truth on this. The media are liars and have caused alot of issues with their lies. Anytime someone calls out these fools they make a plus with me.

What's the old adage about fighting with those that buy ink by the barrel?
November 22, 20169 yr So some of the details of an agreed upon "Off the Record" meeting were leaked, I guess you can't trust the media :lol2: At least can't trust them when they give their word.
November 22, 20169 yr What's the old adage about fighting with those that buy ink by the barrel? I agree, I'm not sure what he expects to gain...if the meeting was as brutal as the "Leaked" details say it was.
