So some of the details of an agreed upon "Off the Record" meeting were leaked, I guess you can't trust the media :lol2:

At least can't trust them when they give their word.

Hardly a surprise after a tongue-lashing.

Hellcats tell me who you wanted to be President again?

Not the one we are getting. :puke:

It's stuff like this that proves he is and will continue to be trash. Can't change spots and stripes.

Who is he to chew out the press? They don't work for him.

Hardly a surprise after a tongue-lashing.

"We agree this is off the record, as long as you are nice to us and tell us what we want to hear. If you hurt our feeling we are going to spill the beans."

I'd be curious to hear what they were told about the meeting.

So would I.

You'd think he'd understand at this point he needs the media on his side more than ever. Like it or not the media shapes public opinion. There's going to be times when information he doesn't want made public will become public knowledge simply because no one in the major media likes him except for Fox News and Breitbart.

You know, CNN liked him a lot...until they didn't any more. They almost single handily gave him all of the coverage he needed during the primaries for free. CNN was wall to wall Trump all through the primaries, it was like they were trying to help him get the nomination...which would make sense if they ultimately wanted Clinton to win, thinking he'd be an easy beat in the fall.

In a way CNN created Candidate Trump by giving him so much free coverage that he spent nearly nothing on the primary race. Then once they saw what they created they set about to destroy him from the convention forward.

Am I confused about what an "off the record" conversation is? Or did the media just play right into Trump's hands that they are not reliable? Someone help me out here.

I think thats quite obvious.

However the candidate you promoted as the queen of the world was the most dishonest and dirty candidate ever to run for the office. And you have the gall to call out Trump before he is even swore in is hilarious. It still stings I know. And here is whats worse, if things keep swinging the way its looking, as the D's have not learned one thing from this election, the D's may never win again for awhile. People are tired of the liberal crap. When you cant figure out which bathroom to go to, then its time for a change.

It appears they walked right into this trap......

And it's not the first time, nor will it likely be the last. He's playing them for fools and they are unsurprisingly following the script.

Sheep. They are so dead set on destroying Trump they are easily fooled.

Off the record means that everyone at that meeting agrees to not print or discuss what happened in their media outlets. Off the record does not mean they can't tell someone else what happened off the record. Off the record pretty much means, "don't quote me and if you say this info came from me I will deny it."

Seems like Trump wanted to prove a point about the media and it was as simple as inviting him over for "lunch" and asking them to keep it quiet. They couldn't even manage to do that, even though they agreed to do so. Haha.

I'd like to hear the whole story as how it went down, but then we would be relying on the media to be honest and truthful. So I seriously doubt any of us will ever know what really happened during the "off the record" conversation.
