Ryle was 0-1 when this picture was taken, I believe no decals till they won a game. This week the decals will be on.

Do you remember the movie the Program? The steriod guy painting his face like an Indian going to war and like a Skeleton-like thing. I am kinda on the fence here, what this kid has isn't too bad, but the mention of the KISS make-up is too extreme and I would have to say no to that, even though KISS ROCKS!

I bet 'Ru never thought so much controversy would be sparked over an innocent picture. :jump:

Some schools have a tradition where the kids and coaches wear eye black during the playoffs.

Personally as someone who was a player and now a fan, I could care less, and it's pretty much what you do on the field as a team that matters.

His face is forced. I have seen that look before in high school sports, and while it looks mean, it is not the look that I look for. The look that is killer is much more blank with a less extreme facial expression. You know, the ones that don’t need to make a face to look mean because it's just who they are.

No need fo all the paint. If you gotta distract the man infront of you before you can beat him, they need to find someone else to fill you spot that can get it done.

I really think this kind of thing serves to motivate your opponent. A number of teams have tried this kind of foolishness before playing Trinity and the Rocks have found it both comical and disrespectful. A good old fashioned whooping usually followed. And heaven forbid a team from combining the face paint and stomping on the mid-field T.

People shouldn't make comments about the character of this young man when most of you know nothing about him or his background. This kid has changed his life through football in a very postive manner. Just to clue you in on this night vs NCC he setup Ryle's 3rd touchdown when he threw Big #76 to the ground, ran through the back, put a hit on the quarterback which allowed Scott Gray to intercept the football.

I think some people like to do it. There is no real intimidation behind it they just put it on to make you look cool. I know one thing it is impossible to get off.

LSU -The T stomping was a different coach, and a different era so you can quit talking about that. Last time Ryle played Trinity it was a respectful game, correct me if I'm wrong.

One year = different era? I think LSU is talking in generalities (not Ryle) about playing more as an individual vs as a team.

No he's talking about 2002 when Ryle went down to Trinity in the playoffs and jumped on the T. That was Coach Hockmans last year. And it was foolish.
