I assumed she was pardon a long time ago. Its just sitting in a folder for when its needed.

Trump won the election on his constant blathering Hillary hate. Now he has to prosecute no matter the optics, or he is emasculated in his first 100 days.

 

It would take 4 years to finish the matter, and by that time the New Democrat president would pardon her.

 

America doesn't want to hear emails and servers anymore, which may be one of the reasons she was defeated.

The Obama's really don't like the Clintons, right? So why would he pardon her unless there is some dirt on him.

 

Theoretically because it's the magnanimous thing to do on his part. And I guess because he cares about the Democratic party.

I imagine since she's no longer running for president Republicans will lose interest in their witch hunt, but I've been wrong before.

Violating the Espionage Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and accepting bribes from foreign governments in exchange for personal appearances by her surrogates Bill Clinton and her daughter Chelsea through speaking fees and multi-million dollar donations to the Clinton foundation. Aside from those alleged crimes, I am sure that a pardon would provide blanket coverage for any other crime that she and her gang committed during or before the end of Obama's presidency.

 

The case against Hillary Clinton is no witch hunt and Republicans who believe that all felons should be held accountable for their crimes will insist on a fair investigation into the serious allegations against the Clinton family and their inner circle. I would prefer to see them stipulate to the fact that they committed multiple felonies in exchange for a pardon, which would allow the Trump administration to focus on the future instead of the past. The Clintons have been one big distraction for our justice system for decades. It is time to move on.

If he pardons her then they admit guilt. Cant pardon someone for something they have not done. Two edge sword here for the Dems. If you dont pardon her there is a good chance she gets indicted. If you do, then you are basically admitting guilt in the eyes of the public.

I am not in the stand strong lock her up camp, I do, however think she should be fully investigated and sent through the system like anyone else would be.

I say no for a couple of reasons.

 

If she did something that is illegal and it's proven then she should pay the price like every other schmo occupying a prison cell.

 

Equally, I want Mr Trump to live up to his 3rd-world mentality of threatening your political opponent. My guess is he will not.

If there is one favor Trump should request from Obama in today's meeting, it is that he pardon Hillary Clinton. It gets Trump off the hook and allow him to move forward on productive ideas.

 

If there is no pardon, and Trump pursues Hillary, it will put his presidency off to a horrible start. He will have little chance of getting any agreement from the Democrats on any ideas he wants to push through. Trump throws unity and bipartisanship out the window if he pursues Hillary.

 

If he doesn't pursue Hillary, he loses favor in his own supporters and looks like another lying politician. So much for change and drain the swamp.

 

Trump's best out with no pardon is this. Appoint a special prosecutor to review all the evidence and after that review issue a statement saying no serious convictable offense was found. Unless, of course, there is some serious new finding in the investigation that even Democrats would agree she should be prosecuted for. It has to be something substantially more than all the accusations put out there to date and the ones that the FBI has already pushed aside.
