Should Clinton be Pardoned?

Featured Replies

If there is one favor Trump should request from Obama in today's meeting, it is that he pardon Hillary Clinton. It gets Trump off the hook and allow him to move forward on productive ideas.

If there is no pardon, and Trump pursues Hillary, it will put his presidency off to a horrible start. He will have little chance of getting any agreement from the Democrats on any ideas he wants to push through. Trump throws unity and bipartisanship out the window if he pursues Hillary.

If he doesn't pursue Hillary, he loses favor in his own supporters and looks like another lying politician. So much for change and drain the swamp.

Trump's best out with no pardon is this. Appoint a special prosecutor to review all the evidence and after that review issue a statement saying no serious convictable offense was found. Unless, of course, there is some serious new finding in the investigation that even Democrats would agree she should be prosecuted for. It has to be something substantially more than all the accusations put out there to date and the ones that the FBI has already pushed aside.

A pardon by Obama saves Trump big problems.

Why is it Trumps duty to pursue Clinton? Wouldn't it be the FBI's? I don't think Obama pursued her or told the FBI they couldn't?

She is an innocent women until proven guilty. If the FBI has something on her they will find it. At that time one can determine if she needs to be pardoned.

If Obama does it now, isn't he admitting she did something wrong and he knew it all along but still supported her in the election? That's a little egg on the face.

A lot of posters ha e said she needs to go to jail.

What will you think when Mr Trump doesn't try to "lock her up?"

I honestly don't think he will try to lock her up. More people in America actually wanted her President. So going after her will only cause more conflict and drama and keep this country divided even more.

There is no positive to gain for him. He accomplished what he wanted to do and prevented her from being president. Her political days are basically done now with or without being locked up. So from his side there is no need to pursue it.

Let Obama and Bill meet on the tarmac to discuss what to do.

I'm with @Fear the Nation on this one: sic Gowdy on her and lock her up!!

It's not a trap

I don't think it will happen. Gowdy just reminds me of a judicial pit bull. He's already locked on and I don't see him letting it go if he gets the chance. He's still really, really p'd off about Bengazzi.

He's 0 for 11 on Benghazi. I'm sure he'll do better this time :thumb:

Persistent isn't he though. Benghazi goes alot deeper than his pay grade allowed.

Anyone read the Benghazi report that Gowdy asked the nation to read?

Her emails are interesting, but the Clinton Foundation may be even more interesting. If it comes out, will be interesting to see exactly how much corruption was actually on-going.

If she is guilty, then put her in jail like every other American would be.

Sure. We will find out without the protection of Obama now. Trump will pull back the curtain on Clinton corruption and FINALLY put them all in jail. :taz:

Just a quick question: what will you Hillary haters/ Trump lovers do when he walks this back?

I will do what I did for most of the primary and general campaign - criticize Trump for his lack of conservatism and trustworthiness - but I was never a Trump lover. I hate all of the unethical and illegal things that Hillary has done. She needs to confess her crimes or face one or more juries of her peers. After that, I could not care less whether Obama or Trump grants her a pardon.

Due process. I look forward to Donald fulfilling his word.

Here's the problem with making outlandish comments. You must back it up or you and those who support you look like fools.
