ND had 7 possessions the entire game.

Navy ended the game with a 7 minute drive.

Not surprised at this at all. Looks like the Irish will be staying home for bowl season. Army is their best chance of a win with their remaining schedule.

I love it. I was a kid during the Roger Staubach era at Navy; still have a soft spot for them. Beating Notre Dame is icing.

Is BK still not on the hot seat?

Not surprised in any way at this result. Navy has looked better all season than ND has.

I love it when the service academies are playing good football.

Is BK still not on the hot seat?

Should be, but his apologist will say that he's not only not on a hot seat...but that he shouldn't be on one either.

Depends how they finish out. I said from the beginning if they miss a bowl that will be the only way. Now they have to win their last 3 to make it. If they win their last 3, and make a bowl then no he won't go anywhere. If they miss a bowl game, then it will be interesting.

Notre Dame in all their losses had chances to win them all and should have won the majority of them as they blew leads. So these next 3 games will also all be close. Good teams win the close games, Notre Dame has not this year.

Is that what ND is now? Lose to Navy, but as long as you make a bowl game you get to keep your job? That's a joke.

Who said it was? You act like Notre Dame has been bad for many years under him. He has made them into a team who has been in contention unlike the coaches before him since Lou Holtz. To a title game a few years ago, and literally 2 players away from the playoffs last year.

This year has been bad, and making a bowl game does not satisfy the fans. You asked if it was enough to get him on the hot seat and I answered your question. Now if you are not satisfied with the response you may want to ask a different question. Are people happy with this year, no. If they make a bowl game by winning their last 3, is he going to get fired, no. However what it would do is make him have to have a very good year next year.

Now if they don't finish this year strong and miss a bowl game, then as I said the off season could get interesting if there is a coach they view that is available that they can get that they think is better.

I do agree that Kelly has made them far more relevant overall since Lou Holtz has been gone. His coaching methods are still odd to say in the least and I just don't like him, never really have.

Am I an apologist if I say he's not on the hot seat for this season? I do not believe he will be fired. Next year though....

Some of your college football posts seems to be filled with anger. Your response to FC's post is an example.
