So just what is wrong with Drew Barker?

Whenever he does "comeback", in my opinion UK should still stick with Johnson, 5-1, keeping rolling with him and let the QB's battle for the job in the off-season.

Give Baker the rest of the season off and give him time to heal up; he'll more than likely get a medical redshirt.

 

When Spring practice rolls back around there will be a true QB competition and let the best man win!

It definitely is a difficult situation. Barker played an amazing first half to start the year. That alone should have won the game if the defense wasn't horrible that day. The Florida game was horrible.

 

Since Drew got hurt they have decided to be completely a running team, since Johnson can't pass and being a running team is their best offense. So you would think UK would do even better with Barker while running the offense like this since passes better. However at the same time they are 5 and 1, so you wouldn't want break the chemistry no matter how little Johnson has brought to those wins, they have still won.

You have to be able to prove the player was medically unable to perform in both redshirt seasons to get a 6th year. The process of what proof is required varies from conference to conference, but there needs to be documentation of injury issues in both redshirt seasons to even get to the starting point...

 

Well that doesn't sound like there would be any possibility of a medical redshirt at this point. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't remember their being any injury issues his freshman season that he sat out.

No one has given Drew any indication that he may not play again.he expects to be back before summer.
