Never said it wouldn't be harder. Never said anything about how they would fair if in the 9th. All I said was I wish they were back in the 9th like the old days. I would rather drive 10 fo 20 minutes to watch a region game than 2 hours. As far as schedules go, look at last season and the upcoming season schedules and show me a schedule in the state that's much tougher. And RCC9 I'm glad you realized it was just summer.

Don't know if it's tougher than Simon Kenton's schedule, but the Valkyries schedule isn't a cake walk.

The first one out of the gate is a tough one. The last time Highlands came into the Valkyries gym they hit us right in the mouth and gave us an L.

My gut says you'll probably be okay this time. Lol. Not putting my team down, but I know SH is loaded this year and HHS is still in a lil rebuilding mode. They have great athletes and talent, but they will be mixing in some young players and lost a lot of stabilization with the group they lost to graduation. They will have several kids logging a lot of minutes that didn't log a lot of them for HHS varsity last year. I think they will be just fine later on in the season, but the schedule doesn't do them any favors early on! Lol! But I wouldn't have it any other way. Test them early and work on your opportunities!

Any athlete getting to go play with another school in the summer should never be allowed unless they have transferred and it is approved. It allows for way to much stuff to occur. Come play with us and...... Our KHSAA should have to enforce same across the board for transferring. How would you feel as a coach, to have your best player play with another team, or if you were a player and a teammate played with someone else. Just ridiculous. I have said it before on here club ball is coming, there is no policing anywhere anymore.

I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure the Harney's made it clear and received permission from their school to come up and workout with some teams up here, knowing they were looking to move back home. In their situation, if you know you are looking to move back to an area where your parent grew up and your family is located, then as a coach, I'd rather you tell me and be up front with me. I think that was the case here. I'm not 100% how that applies with the KHSAA rules, but I think as long as they sought permission from the school they were enrolled in, there wouldn't be any funny business.

I dont think there is any rule against this, as a matter of fact I know there isn't. This has happened a lot with players, just most dont know about it.

Yes JJ I know of others that have done it as well, just can not believe it is not stopped by KHSAA

KHSAA has no restrictions on schools from the last day of school until the first day of school except for the dead period, unethical in this??, definitely, against the KHSAA rules, not at all.

I assume you're talking generically across the state and I agree about it being unethical. However, I did think there were some guidelines about participating with other schools in the summer without permission from the school you are enrolled at. If there wasn't, I'd think you'd see it happening a lot more. And I feel like some schools or instances have been warned about that. I don't know for sure, just going off other conversations.

However, in this situation...if they talked to the school they were enrolled at and told them what they were doing, then I don't see anything unethical about this one.

I believe SK girls scrimmaged today at Scott not sure who they played?

They played Manuel.

Won the 1st half by 7, lost the 2nd half by 6 so together W50-49...played without Niece, Buckner and Harney. Young girls stepped up and played well. Overall good effort vs. a very athletic team.

Awesome.

Nope, no rules against this in the summer, only if they want to come and play in an open gym, etc., AFTER school starts.

So Harney is at SK?
