First off, congrats to your son. I flipped the same coin( hate agreeing with the Lawn boy) just kidding. I would be in Newport for my sons first game. Have kind of the same situation, my son on staff at Ryle and I do pa for Holmes. So when they play,it's a little family rival. Best of luck to your son in his coaching career.

You guys are making me homesick. After 23 years at the mic in Madisonville, it has now been almost that long elsewhere...the last 16 here in Tennessee.

 

Keeping the sports history website up-to-date...and adding to it here and there...helps a little bit.

This reminds me a lot of Feds Creek High School Gym. it was a double decker with about this much seating, but the court wasn't regulation length or width. The 3 point line practically ran out of bounds on the sides. Watched some games & played some there as well, Jody Thompson was a Mountain God in that gym & basically any other one he stepped foot in.
