A lot of football left...Who knows what this team's "legacy" will be?? The talent is there but I've said it from day 1, it takes more than talent and the odds are not in our favor...Everyone needs to relax & let it play out and enjoy the ride regardless of where it ends up...It really is just a game...

 

I heard today that Coach McGlone's wife is ill...Let's hope not, but if it's true everyone needs to remember "Coach" and his wonderful wife in their thoughts and prayers...Big day for them tomorrow...He deserves all the accolades...Before he arrived, Russell simply had a football team...Now they have a football program!!!

Nothing to do with the price of tea in China. But it does resemble the attitude taken by ALOT of Ashland fans concerning the game with Raceland. And if you say you thought Raceland had a chance then shame on you.

 

There is a difference between confidence and being cocky. But being boastful on a fans internet site does not truely reflect ones attitude. If it did then shame on all of us.:thumb:

Coach McGlone deserves every honor that may be bestowed upon him. He is a great man and a great representative of Russell High School and the entire area.

I believe Russell will have a little fire in their belly. I don't know much about Boyd co this year but that is my gut feeling.

Its called expectations. I think all really good programs expect to do that well. I know Ashland does too. Surely the Tomcats have set goals they want to accomplish and I would say a regional championship is one of them.

 

Looking ahead and expecting great things are totally different.

I believe GOREDDEVILS was right about Tiny's comments.

 

Russell is young and inexperienced in spots. The line most noticeably right now. They lost 3 of 5 starters on the offensive line and the entire defensive line. There is alot of talent in those spots but they are still learning. Russell will be just fine.

I believe Tiny's comments were in reference to Boyd and not Russell.

 

Some of Boyd's top positional players are very young. Boyd's QB Wilson is only a Soph with very limited experience at that position. Boyd's top RB Barker is only a Junior and will definetly make some noise as he grows into the RB position. Look for Barker to break some records. Joey White the other RB is a great player also, he is a Senior. Most of the line are Seniors or Juniors, but very limited in experience. Defensively we are a older team, but limited experience there too. Special Teams we are very young.

 

If Boyd can get some meat out there on the line the next couple of years could be good for Boyd!
