GoRoyals Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Mason County wins and clinches the 3rd seed in the district. Looks like they will be heading to Ashland for the first round of the playoffs.
sumoroyal Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Mason scores on first possession or OT and Holmes scores on a pass to come within one point. Holmes had gone for two all night and passed incomplete but a pass interference call on Mason. Then QB sneak came up just short to give Mason the win.
Vito Corleone Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Congratulations to the Royals in their big win tonight
allsport71 Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Just got back from Maysville, congrats to the Royals. One heck of a game, thought it was going to be a rout, proud of the Bulldogs tonight, what a come back. Very impressed with the running back Devine for Mason. Hillie for Holmes had another impressive night for Holmes. I guess the Scott, Holmes winner gets a trip to Johnson Central, ghz. Way to fight back and not give up Dogs. Best of luck to Mason in Ashland.
Lawnboy13 Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 About the Dawgs kicking game, or lack there off, what about getting a soccer player.....boy or girl?
LCDAWGS19 Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 So, in this district it's: Harrison vs. Bourbon. Winner is the #1 seed, loser is the #2 Mason clinches the #3 Scott vs. Holmes. Winner is the #4 seed.
ChiefSmoke Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Congratulations to Coach Thomas and the Royals! :thumb:
allsport71 Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 About the Dawgs kicking game, or lack there off, what about getting a soccer player.....boy or girl? Campbell is the kicker and actually has a nice leg, problem seems to be, the kicks get blocked. Some his fault, some the line fault. If he has the time he can make the extra points. But it has been a few years since Holmes has had that kicker that can just knock the ball thru with any consistency, problley Hughes who was an outstanding soccer player.
maysvilleky Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Mason held on for the win...Congrats. But this is the 3rd game in a row that the Royals have had a lead going into half and been completely outplayed in the 2nd half. I don't know if it's adjustments or if the players are easing up after halftime, but they can't allow that to happen going forward. I also think there was another injury on Friday night which continues to make the Royals thin. It was nice to see some guys step up.
OutlawJoseyWales Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Question: Will a team from this district win a playoff game? Regardless of who wins Friday between Harrison/Bourbon. This district is awful.

I don't think so, it's very possible...district has been somewhat deplorable this year, to say the least.
