Hatz Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 A game for the ages. Back and forth the whole way. Boyle came back from a 14-0 deficit after 2 blocked punts and tied it early in the 3rd. They fumbled inside Danville's 2 in the first half to cost themselves a TD. Danville made just one more big play than Boyle. Great Great GAme.
BGGreen Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Sounds like a real classic!! I thought I read Boyle was down a little??
Hatz Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 Danville had 271 yards Boyle had 510 yards. But the Ads had where it counted the most on the scoreboard. Great, classic game.
Admiral Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Great game ADS, Hats off to the Rebels. Didn't make the game, my Mom had to be rushed to the hospital this afternoon(she is OK and back home now) So I stayed with mama and listened to the radio. She is just a couple of blocks away so I could almost hear everything. Way to hang on and fight to the end Admirals. Now lets work on getting some discipline and do away with these silly penalties. That cost us 2 or 3 TDs tonight. Good job to both teams tonight. You made our city proud!!
Long Time Warrior Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Cross Town Rivals!!!!!!!!!! Gotta love it! Sounds like a classic to me. Again no blow-out.................Hummmm! See you Rebels in three weeks....LTW.
Hatz Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 Hey Hatz, whats up? Hope your mama is okay. Just got of the phone with Bertram and he said it was a classic. I too listened to the Webcast and it was a gem. Of course it will probably be second place to that last second TD game back in '79 because WE won that one. Ahh, glory days. Admiral I hope all is well with you and I can now root the Ads on with a clear consciensce (sp?) the rest of the way. :thumb:
Admiral Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 She is feeling alot better Hatz, and thanks. Yes this was a classic. But it can't top 79. ahh to be a freshman again and seeing Tim Warren catch that pass.
letabrotherspeak Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Wow...sounded like a great game.....
PurplePride92 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Great game. Glad I was there, it was truly an exciting game. Bad decision for Boyle gamble for two when they didn't need it and it ended up costing them. Both teams made the plays when they needed them. Looking forward to the Sept. 15 matchup versus Mercer County, but first, let's see the Rebels step up and show that they aren't down like everyone says and give Lafayette a good game.
NO HOLLA Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Congrats to Ads! Great game by both teams! Good luck the rest of the way!!! Sounds like both teams could make some noise in there classes this year.
KY Thorobred Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I think that Boyle is just playing another hard schedule. Losing to 2 teams that could possibly win their class and beating a competitive Harrison team in Cynthiana. I think that the Rebels will be fine, they always are!
ADopted ADmiral Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I said it would be interesting and that it was! Danville has got to quit giving up the big pass play and quit fumbling the ball! Boyle played a very good game and I think will be very dangerous team before the season is over!
Toothpick Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Way to go Ads! a great night for us lil guys! Congrats, Congrats, Congrats! Sounds like a heck of a game!
