For years Cov Cath has paid to much attention to the name on the front of the jersey. You're better than them. Just go out and actually prove it.

...just kicking the giant while he is down. I do like Cov Cath in this game though. To much offense. It will be a very high scoring game due to weaker than usual defenses.

Just what is it you think they need to do to get better? I'm very curious. I keep hearing all this talk about one week the D is bad then the O so I guess my question is what changes need to be made for this team to make it? Not interested in getting into a argument with anyone so serious answers only.

Well I'm not to sure what the right answer is. Like I said my son plays on the D and I know he get's aggravated about some stuff but I don't think he even knows what the right answer is at this point

Statistically speaking, HHS has given up more yardage to running plays than they have given up to passing plays this season. That would indicate, generally speaking, that they struggle to match up to teams on the line of scrimmage, which would imply (again, generally speaking) that their defensive line and linebackers are the biggest trouble spot on defense. They have also had games where they have given up more yards on the passing game though. You can also chalk some of that up to the fact that those were teams like Ryle and SK who have superior quarterbacks and passing game.

 

Unfortunately for HHS, they seem to have defense that is all-around "weaker" when compared to HHS defenses of the past, and they also have one of the most challenging regular season schedules in the state which is compounding the fact that they are not as strong as usual when it comes to their defensive performances this season.

I expect the usual pressure on CovCath. If CovCath plays smart throughout they will probably win. Although Highlands is a confusing team this year. If they get it going like they did with Cooper and Simon Kenton, and even Scott County, they may take this one by two touchdowns. Highlands is more potentially damaging on offense although not nearly as consistent, and their defense is lacking.

Highlands by one td if Highlands plays well and CovCath by four touchdowns if all goes expected.

Move some kids who play limited snaps on offense over to play defense. No offense to the kids playing defense now but obviously they are struggling. Giving up 500 rushing yards to Dixie Heights tells me they have a major problem stopping the run.

Maybe, but Brossart received more votes in the NKY Coaches Poll than Highlands did.
