Yeah, because the bad cops out there disgracing the good majority of the police have nothing to do with it.

It's not even a tenth of one percent of cops.

It's the media and the looters and rioters that keep it going. How many of the ones that were rioted over were proven false? Just about every one of them. Let's not let that get in the way of a reason to go loot and riot though.

There would be an investigation, as there should be with all officer involved shootings, and she'd be cleared of any wrong-doing.

Tell that to Darren Wilson (Ferguson police officer who shot Michael Brown). He was cleared but had to quit and move because he feared for his life...and he did nothing wrong. His life was basically ruined...

That's a good assessment, however what do you think would be happening right now had she shot and killed this person?

People would be saying the same things they are saying now...

"she shouldn't be a police officer if she can't handle the job"

"needs to find a new line of work"

"she needs to quit the force"

"She showed poor judgement"

and

"If she can't handle one unarmed man without shooting him, she shouldn't be a cop"

"Evidently she wasn't trained properly"

"Why did she have to shoot him, all he did was punch her a couple of times"

"Must have been scared or a coward, for her to shoot an unarmed man"

Police Officers often have to make split second decisions. If they hesitate, they could get themselves killed. Make a hasty decision and they may shoot someone who does not deserve to be shot. It's a thankless, dangerous job that is just getting worse each and every day.

It's the natural evolution. Before cell phones the bad cops were free to do what they wanted with impunity. Now they cannot do so as easily. You then have the good officers who make bad decisions (possibly the case in Tulsa). The fact they're good officers doesn't absolve them from their deadly bad decision.

Officers will do what they've always done if they're good, strong officers. The others will have to be weeded out.

Wow. I really don't want to live in your world.
