Officer says she feared using gun while being beaten

Featured Replies

Apparently one where bad cops are called out and removed from the job.

Nope, it's the one where a cop feels it's better to be beaten then to shoot. Ferguson, Baltimore and Charlotte have made that happen.

Which is not what Clyde said at all. That would be like me saying, "In All Tell's world, cops are always right and should be able to shoot whenever they want."

They should shoot instead of being beaten, I don't give two dangs who likes it or not.

You say that as if someone is disagreeing with that in this thread.

Disagree, maybe, maybe not from some of the responses.

Well, be brave and call them out on it.

Brave? Please.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, misguided or not.

I don't think anyone in this thread has implied that the officer did not have the right to protect herself. Contrary, if she is beaten to the point where she thinks she may die and the thought going through her head is "I'd protect myself, but I may be scrutinized"... she may not be in the right line of work.

You're right. It's easier to make vague accusations and throw out "I don't care who likes it" type statements. Yeah...please.

The reality is that NO ONE in here has said that a cop should take a beating and not protect his or herself. NO ONE has even implied it.

Apparently you live in the same world as I do.

That's your opinion.

You're arguing against a point that no one has made.

If anyone thinks that the officer should have allowed the beating to occur, speak now. But thus far, I don't think I've seen you.

You've given no evidence otherwise, even though I've asked.

Vague accusations. Weak.

If you say so.
