I do believe he took that right out of good ole Dale Muellers playbook. Apparently you all have a short memory of Highlands DUCKING Simon Kenton during the Miles Simpson era. Ole Dale wouldnt put anyone from Northern Ky. on the schedule, if he thought there was even the smallest possibilty that his birds would lose. This was told to me directly from a Highlands Alum who i work with, who played at Highlands himself.

 

I have no idea. But I have trouble believing that Highlands ducked SK during 06-09. The 2008 SK team was not as good as some people like to say. They were dominated by NCC that year and were the 4 sead going into the playoffs. They got hot/a very week side of bracket and made it to the state championship where it wasn't a game from the first snap. Highlands would have beaten the 06, 07, and 08 SK teams by whatever score they wanted. The 09 team could have competed but I would guess would have lost by 2-3 scores to Highlands.

So you know a guy who knows a guy...ok. Ha ha.

If so, that's even worse, especially if they won't continue playing Highlands. Whether or not they continue playing Highlands, adding Beechwood is totally pointless for the Pioneers. It would benefit Beechwood, but not Simon Kenton in any way.

Then you brought up the past with your "HHS was scared to play SK in the Miles era. A guy told me so!". Then we told you how that was and now you are going to the "well look at the scoreboard guys!" The Miles Simpson era? You think Highlands ducked Simon Kenton during those years? You're right, they didn't want to play Simon Kenton during those years, so they played little schools like Colerain and Cincy St. X, among other notably better teams than Simon Kenton.

 

 

Also, the fact that you referred to those years as the Miles Simpson era is pretty funny.

Back on topic. I have been informed by a very reliable source that the Kenton County Board has okayed Scott dropping SK and SK is dropping CAL. SK is keeping the blue birds and adding Beechwood and an unnamed Louisville area 6A school. End of thread.
