September 25, 20169 yr Nah. It was the Trayvon Martin incident that sparked them. They blew up after Ferguson when their financial backing kicked in and their platform became more focused. So the movement blew up, based on a lie. Don't think I'd be very proud of that.

September 25, 20169 yr Nah. It was the Trayvon Martin incident that sparked them. They blew up after Ferguson when their financial backing kicked in and their platform became more focused. I read somewhere this weekend that a main financial backer for BLM is George Soros. Did anyone else read or hear that?
September 25, 20169 yr I read somewhere this weekend that a main financial backer for BLM is George Soros. Did anyone else read or hear that? As far as I know this is correct and he isn't alone. My sister was close to some folks in BLM and there are many folks whose heart is in the right place that have become disenchanted with BLM and its structure. That's why I say the concept is excellent and the execution of that concept is horribly flawed.
September 26, 20169 yr Who said anything about being proud of that? I miss something? They continue to repeat the lie during protests that devolve into riots. Why still ill use it if you aren't proud of it?

September 26, 20169 yr Report says the officer who fired the shot did not activate his body camera until after he fired.
September 26, 20169 yr Report says the officer who fired the shot did not activate his body camera until after he fired. Convenient.
September 26, 20169 yr Report says the officer who fired the shot did not activate his body camera until after he fired. Correction. First report was incorrect. It was not the officer who fired. It was another officer involved. The officer who fired was not wearing a camera. The problem is that the video could have supplied more info/evidence. Report says it violates policy to not immediately turn it on in situations like this. To be fair to the officer, a lot of things are going through their mind when the adrenaline starts flowing so I can see it happening if it requires them to remember. Of course, it gives more ammo to those who question the shooting. What didn't we see?
