How many seasons does Coach W have left to right the ship?

Apparently the kids your trying to live vicariously through should be on the bench like you were. When I played in Cincy we never even heard of you because KY football was considered garbage. So check your ago at the Ft. Thomas border. I don't care about what others have done that you're trying to take credit for. Do something now. Like you said it's the past let it go. I think we need to have an official definition out there of what running up the score is. No personal feelings involved, no one getting butthurt because they thought their team was going to win and lost by 35 and now they feel cheated. Something from a moderator as a basis.

You tell me right now what game in the past that you are certain the score was run up on. Let's hear it. And tell us how you know for sure the score was run up. And don't tell me because you have a neighbor that played and said this and that. Again, that's hearsay. Tell me what the exact situation was when they are making this claim. Time left in the game. Actual score. Was it out 2nd team against their first? Every situation is different. You can't just generically label Every blowout and every situation the same. Unless you were there and can give details, it's all hearsay from "experts"! Ha ha ha

Sure, I will just give a couple the last couple years I went to because of being family friends of Bo who played in the line for HHS the last sev years before he graduated last year. First game I made it to his Jr year was Campbell county game. 2nd game that year I saw was also at the Harrison co game

where I remember HHS scored

more in the 2nd half than the first half alone in a rout.

Now one I didn't see was the year before against Pendelton County but remember following the updates and wasn't that something like 70+ to 0? Now I didn't see that one in person so I guess we aren't allowed to call that one running the score up. Now many others I did t go to in 2013 because most of the time I was at Cooper games but Holmes I believe was a rout also. Glad no games were running the score up though, really showed a lot of

class not running the score up ever.

 

Now I answered your questions. Now answer one for me, why do you have such a problem if a team runs the score up? Just stop them period. It's a game.

In bball forum i always wondered how the Highlands football threads would go when the program struggled. Not exactly what I expected. Funny everyone is still hung up on the running up the score thing from long ago.

Run up the score who cares, the point is why are some HHS posters getting their panties twisted when they are on the wrong end of a lopsided game and started making little snarky comments? We took our lumps, take yours. Run it up when you can, get it back when it comes. Kids lives aren't ruined because they got blown out. No big deal. Stop denying it ever has been done like HHS was football saints. No biggie. Love the fact you guys can give but can't take.

So I'm not sure where you're hearing that either. And you said you never heard of Ky teams. You mean even when HHS would make the national polls, you didn't hear about them? Im pretty sure I know who you are and I don't think you're much younger than me. So my guess is you've been around when HHS made national polls. And I'm not sure where you went, but you do realize that when HHS was coming over to play those big GCL schools, that was like the GCL schools playing an Ohio d3 school. The fact that HHS was even able to compete with them should have been a testament to the fact that they weren't that bad. I doubt there were many D3 teams in Ohio that would have even attempted to get on the field with any GCL team.

 

There is a lot of pride and history at HHS. That's not going to go away with a couple of lighter years.

I've always said if a team is up so much that a running clock is involved and still trying to score, it's running the score up.

I can't answer for him but I can for me about national polls. I really think the only ones who cared about national polls are those who are

fans of the teams on those national polls. To me I could care less about national polls because they don't mean anything. People talk about the KY polls and how horrible they are, well national polls are even worse. There is no way of even coming close to ranking teams nationally. I garuntee you ever year there are teams not in the national polls that would win against some teams that are on those polls.

 

If if your team isn't on the national poll why would you even care who is on the poll? I can garuntee I never once in the past 50

years went out every week to see who was nationally ranked. So if he someone says they moved here from out of state and never heard of Highlands before he moved

here, I'd believe him. Why should he have heard of Highlands unless he follows the national polls which I would bet the majority of high school football fans don't do. I would even go as far as to bet the majority of people on BGP if asked right now who was #1 ranked team nationally wouldn't have a clue. I don't.

You say scored more in the second half. With starters or 2nd and 3rd teamers in there? Because again, I would never ask a sophomore to take a knee or not play hard or give them a chance to gain experience.

 

So your details are "they scored more in the second half". Well give us a little more. Who scored and when? Running up the score is not a direct collation with what the final score was or when they scored the TDs. There is a lot more to a running up the score scenario than that.
