For whatever reason I thought Ludlow was between Dayton and Fort Thomas

 

Still yet... a Newport/Bellevue/Dayton consolidated school would seemingly have some appeal if they could figure out the politics and taxing. I would think it would really allure to young professionals just looking to start a family who still want the ease of access to downtown Cincy.

Well, the Catholics did it with their grade schools for those 3 cities.

Did Graves originally play at War Memorial?

 

Yes Graves did initially play at War Memorial Stadium. The stadium and land is owned by the Mayfield Graves County Park & Recreation and as such both have equal rights to use it.

 

That said, about 10-15 years ago Graves built their own stadium. Prior to their leaving War Memorial, Graves decided to paint the home locker rooms blue one year without talking with anyone. Made for some interesting moments between the 2 until repainted

Belfry is travelling to Newport and while looking at the directions and google images it occurred to me just how close Newport Stadium is to Gilligan Stadium, where Bellevue plays. The two stadiums are essentially separated by I-471.

My office is only minutes from Norcross High School in Georgia. Nocross is directly across the street from a Private School named Wesleyan and only a two lane surface street separate the two

Jimmy Hoffa is buried in the end zone at Coopers field

My hometown team (Meade County) is nicknamed Death Valley because there is a cemetery that over looks one of the endzones. It also has an elementary school along one side up on a hill and the high school over looks the other endzone all three of which we associated with death. People used to park in the cemetery and flash their lights every time we scored.

 

Also cool thing there is they have "headstones" with the names of teams they've beaten at the field you can see when you're playing there.

While Phelps High School was clearing land and doing construction on a new football Stadium they played two years of home games at Belfry Middle School (The Old Belfry High School)

 

For several Phelps people on the more Eastern side of their school district they had to drive the majority of the trip in another State to get to their homefield by way of Route 49 in West Virginia.

Ballard HS's campus in Louisville used to be farmland. The site of the football field and stadium is allegedly where the PIGS were kept.

 

On very rainy nights, once things get 'churned up' a bit, you can start to get that little whiff of "agriculture" as the night wears on.
