The first 3 games of the season for Boyle have been a humbling experience for me as a fan and a father of one of the freshman players, I guess the last 15 or so years has kinda spoiled me as a Boyle co fan they always seem to reload but this year is different they just don't seem to have the talent and leadership on the varsity level that they normally do every year so I think I'll refrain from making any more predictions for a while maybe the rest of the season but I want to take this opportunity to wish the Rebels the best of luck Friday night against Anderson co and I hope they win.

I look forward to watching this team progress this year and beyond. It's time to watch this coaching staff work their magic. It's rough now but with the young talent and coaxing staff things will begin looking up soon. There is nothing wrong with moral victories and small victories right now. It's all about getting better every week.

If Boyle County cannot stop Blake Franklin then Anderson County will win. And he can run it and catch it and he is on special teams as well. He can dominate the game the same way the kid from Anderson County could a couple of years ago. Was his name, Cox? Is that his last name?

I will take AC at home in this game. I'm going to say something along the line of 27-23.

I'll be at the Casey County/Lincoln County game this Friday with a buddy who attended CCHS but I'll be keeping up with the updates. Go Rebels!

Going to have to pick Anderson here. I hope Boyle proves me wrong! 0-3 can really mess with a young athletes psyche, I hope BC can overcome it, regroup and realize come district play next month that everyone goes back to 0-0.

No disrespect towards Anderson or any team Boyle county plays but as a long time rebel supporter it really sucks that there is such doubt left on there schedule. I looked at it last night and based on how they have played there is no gimme games anymore so each week we will be talking about what they have to do to pull out the victory. I dont really have a prediction but I will say this if the rebel team that has showed no fight in the first three games shows up tonight 0-4 will be all but certain. If they can find some way to realize that there brothers come first and stop with the look at me attitude this team can surprise a lot of people myself included.

To date, Boyle's opponents have a combined record of 8-1 with the only loss of Trinity over Lafayette. We thought the first 3 games would be tough and they were. We hoped not to be 0-3 but we are. No one expected a running clock beat down by Danville, but they did.

 

So here we are. Gut check time for the Big Rebel Nation.

 

I believe Chuck was hoping to platoon guys on offense/defense but it hasn't worked out. I think you see more guys playing both sides of the ball and some underclassmen given some opportunities to step up and contribute as well. I also believe these adjustments will give Boyle exactly what they need most.....a win.
