What a series this has turned out to be! Too much respect to vote against MF although they will have their work cut out for them.

Last year Mayfield was up by 2 possessions in the fourth qtr. IMO it looked like Mayfield ran out of gas. No disrespect to Mayfield but as mentioned earlier Mayfield is the icon of football in W KY. They have been as long as I've been around. So much respect to the program of Mayfield. With that being said Mayfield is NOT the typical 2A school. They are as good as anyone in the state regardless of classification. To even keep it close with Mayfield gives a team a feeling of success. Mayfield has lost 2 games in two years. Both being at the hands of McCracken. It has proven to only make Mayfield better come November because in my opinion Mayfield/McCracken are the best programs West of Bowling Green. I read that Mayfield is only giving up 17 ppg. McCracken is averaging 56 ppg. Something has to give. I think the biggest factor will be McCracken's defense & their ability to substitute more than Mayfield is capable of. I still say McCracken will prevail 35-21. It's going to be a heck of a high school game to see. When McCracken was chanting"We want Mayfield" it was the pep club. They seen Mayfield Coach Morris in the stands & just wanted to let him know it. Lol. It was all in good humor. Good luck to Mayfield & McCracken. No injuries & good sportsmanship. See you Friday!!!

It's def gonna be warm Friday night. I would love for us to have a good cushion points wise going into the 4th qtr. The last 2 games went into OT and it was obvious we were gassed. I have a feeling with MC having the numbers and can sub some players here in there that it will help them in the stretch. Not making any excuses bc football is played 5 months out of the year in both hot and cold conditions. I guess what I'm saying is that's the only thing that worries me is if our tank runs dry.

If MF fans will recall, the "tech factor" was BIG last year as McC rolled out their big screen and cameras and learned MF plays in order to set defense. After figuring this out, the famous halftime adjustment by the MF coaching staff paid off. There was too much to make up. I do believe that MF has some areas to shore-up but they are a better team overall than last year. If the tech-defense of McC was a big a factor as I think it was, then MF will win.

 

The tech factor was a HUGE problem. The TV screen and cameras were one thing. Used in conjunction with the wristband the transfer took with him in the off season was borderline cheating in my opinion. Watched that film several times and it was night and day once MF started huddling after the signals were stolen. Call it excuses if you want, but you will never convince me MF loses that game without the 'borrowed' play band.

We have an iPad on the sideline now, still doesn't compare to the home entertainment center behind the Mustangs bench.

I'm going 28-17 in favor of mayfield.

I know little about the 2016 versions of either team but I'll pull for the little guy. Good luck, Mayfield.

I think it will come down to QB play. Mayfield defense needs to keep McCracken QB uncomfortable. On the flip side, McCracken defense will crowd the line to stop Bright, and it will come down to MF QB making enough throws. He can be streaky. I honestly don't know how anyone can even begin to predict a score. McCracken took the last two...this year its Mayfield's turn.

This has been a great thread with a real close vote....Glad it's finally game night!!! Ready to see what McCracken has when they are playing someone on their level!! Good luck to both teams hopefully win or lose they both move on with no injuries!!

The biggest concern I see is trying to slow down the MC dline, I don't think we can stop them entirely but if we can slow them down we will have a much better chance. Those guys are flat out athletes

Would love to see our boys pull it out but as long as they give it all they got and give them a battle I would still be happy if we end up on the losing end. I am certain our coaches will have them ready. Hope for a good clean hard fought ballgame with both teams coming out injury free when it's all said and done.
