Ellen DeGeneres on criticism of Usain Bolt meme: Racist is ‘furthest thing from who I am’ - The Washington Post

Good lord.

Really?

I agree Clyde.

Come on people.

Also, something I think the article didn't mention, Usain retweeted it.

:bag:

You all are actually surprised by the reaction of those that always look to be offended? Really?

People looking to be offended, will always be offended.

I think it's ridiculous and detracts from real instances of racism.

It's the latest round of "is it racist"?

The answer is no.

I haven't walked in everyone's shoes, but when I saw that tweet racism was the furthest thing from my mind. I know everyone has their own lens, but I think her intent with that tweet was fairly clear. Or I'd have hoped so.

The reaction of many is just embarrassing.

I lose more and more hope for humanity by the day...So dumb.

The irony? It's her peeps (those of like mind) that are the ones jumping all over her about it, and I'd say normally she'd be right in their camp most of the time.
