Voice of Reason Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 One of Raceland's best wins in 2015 was their 36-25 victory over West Carter who finished the season at 9-3. This should be another challenging battle this year. Both teams are contenders in their respective classes. This should be a very good test for both teams. Who do you like in this one and why?
The Cerebral Assassin Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 RAMS by (3) TD's. RAM'S Defense will make the difference.
STEEL_CURTAIN88 Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 West will hang for the first half and can not be over looked, but this is a new year and Raceland takes a step foward while West will likely have some growing pains early on with the shifting of the skill positions and replacing the voids left upfront due to graduation. Rams 42 Comets 14
RaiderPride5 Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 If this game was played later in the year it would be different. West is still figuring stuff out on offense, and Raceland will probably win this won by a few scores. West is well coached though, and I'll be rooting for them. Good luck to both!
newarkcatholicfan Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 I think the Rams take this one somewhere in the neighborhood of,35-0.
sidelinedoc Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 I really like the coaching staff and team @ West Carter. I think everything said to date in this thread is correct. I do think home field will aid WC in the first half but Raceland has depth on the line and at the skill positions. Depth along with the recent heat gives me the inclination that a 3-4 TD win is not unrealistic for the Rams.
Youngbloods Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 West should complete for a while, but Raceland has too much for them to handle. Rams by 20.
The Cerebral Assassin Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 If this game was played later in the year it would be different. Good luck to both! How would it be different if it were later in the year? Both teams should improve, but Raceland still would have the advantage in my opinion.

Both teams should improve, but Raceland still would have the advantage in my opinion. I can't speak for @RaiderPride5, but I think Raceland is currently closer to a finished product than the Comets are. West lost so much that it's likely to take them a while to round into shape. Raceland, on the other hand, looks like they might come out of the gate smoking. Having said that, I still think Raceland would win no matter when the game is played. But, it would probably be a better game if it were played later in the year. Based on how the Grid played out, I'll take the Rams by 3 scores. The fact that West hung tough against a Greenup team that a lot of people are expecting to be pretty good, gives me reason to think this one might be interesting for a little while. Raceland 41 West Carter 20
oldrambler Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 West lost a lot from one of the better teams in their history in 2015. Comets at home will help them and as always they are extremely well coached. I don't think those factors are enough for an upset over Raceland. Raceland kids, so far anyway, seem to be more focused than last season and are out to make amends for some less than expected results last season. I hope both teams go injury free. Raceland by a min. of 3 td's due to the Rams depth., especially in the heat that we've all been having this summer.
