I've heard him twice and , while I expected to be bored, I wasn't. I find him entertaining and very engaging.

That gave me goosebumps and I don't even like her. You could tell she was very grateful to him. Amazing considering what they went through in 2008.

 

Good observation. I noticed a subtle difference in the way she was glaring at him tonight. Her expression was telling. She was overwhelmed with gratefulness. Genuinely grateful.

Last night I realized that I'm of an age where I listened to a speechwriter/giver that I'll never hear the likes of again. Some will think that's a good thing - many have probably had more than enough. But the President's ability to deliver a powerful, inspirational, unifying, and yes - a hopeful message - is unparalleled.

 

...One of the best, if not THE best in my lifetime. Better yet, as good as he is as an orator, it seems he is an even better man. I am proud that he has been my President.

Have the Democrats done much this week to make inroads among Trump's support among white voters without a college education? This is a demographic that has traditionally been a problem for the Dems and is an even bigger problem this cycle.

Romney was a +26 with this group; Trump a +37.

In general, I agree with you. But this is not John McCain or Mitt Romney. This is Donald Trump. This is different. For a man like that to be seen by so many as a legitimate contender for the most powerful position in world is indeed troubling.
