Nah, you're a nerd and a loser. :lol2:

He's playing with his kids and girlfriend's kid. He's clear of nerd status.

But not loser status? :lol2:

Hey, if playing with my kids and making my girlfriend happy make me a loser, I want to be a loser.

Can I go ahead and get a list of things that are acceptable to be an "adult?" Because there must have been an orientation class I missed.

I've already got PBS and NPR down with the occasional smattering of AM radio. Got quite a few ties and sweaters, a few suits, dress shoes, a house, 2 cars, a wife, a job, college degree. Do I need to start wearing collared shirts all the time? Tucking my shirt into my shorts, or just delete shorts altogether?I probably ought to go ahead and get rid of any movie that isn't a drama or art house. Definitely need to purge my iPod of music that doesn't date back until at least the 70s. Do I need to start fishing and sitting in my porch yelling at kids to get off my lawn? I mean if I can go Gran Torino Clint Eastwood on them I wouldn't mind I guess, I could use an M1 Garand. I probably ought to stop drinking beer made anywhere other than one of the big brewers. Bud Light here I come. I probably need some novelty ball caps with sayings on them about "workin' too hard" or something, or is that too redneck? Man I see why people say adulting is hard. Is it spreadsheets, the food I eat, is it looking down on other people and "kids these days," really struggling here. Do I need to pick a team in a sport I don't care about or have any connection to and spend tons of money on official merchandise that in the grand scheme of things is about as meaningless as the sport itself and the wastes of flesh that actually get paid way more than any of us to play a game?

Help me out here folks. I need to know how to adult. :idunno:

I think you're in good shape @PepRock1, especially since you don't play PokemonGo lol.

I heard that one woman was working on a variation for moms, called Chardonnay Go. You go around the neighborhood gathering glasses of wine.

I'm seeing a Cocktail Go or Craft Beer Go in the future.

:lol2: Aww snap!

Per Facebook, the Red Pepperoni in Madison, IN, is giving food discounts and prizes for Pokémon levels and catching (?) of a Pikichu (?) on property.

I was negative and making fun of people when this deal started.

So, I objectively went out with my girlfriend and her son to play, then a few more times with my kids. Here's what I saw...

- Exercise: There were kids (and adults) all over town...actually walking

- Working as a Team: Those same folks were working together as teams and learning to work effectively in small groups

- Education: A big portion of the game involves visiting historical markers, churches and other important sites that every kid should know (fire station, public library, etc.)

- Happiness: Everyone was smiling. Actually, that part was kind of amazing

- Family Time: Just like me, there were dads hanging out with kids and in many instances...entire families on the hunt for Pokemon.

That's what I saw and if you'll remember, I was making fun of this in the beginning.

exactly why I started playing it.

Okay. I jumped on board over the weekend as my wife got me into it. Give me some tips @Wireman.

It's easy. Any good pub or bbq joint will accept your man card. :D
