My guess is that NCC passes more this year. Really nice BIG QB. Always have athletes that can run routes and catch passes. Lost their stud backs.

New Cath lost some very good players and I am not sure the pipeline is there to replace them. Henschen needs to become the QB the NCC fans hope he can be for this team to have a NCC quality season. A lot of weight on his shoulders. There are a few players there that can help him. I look for Wrobleski to have a good year. My guess is this is going to be another one of those NCC years where they struggle early, take some losses and are a tough out at the end of the year.

They struggle at the beginning of every season because it is front loaded with 5 and 6A schools. They will definitely need some players to step up this year if they want to win the district.

What will the numbers be like up on the hill this year?

NewCath needs to find a new offensive coordinator to have any success. They should have won two or three more games last year if not for the play calling. They had Mayfield on the ropes early in the title game, and absolutely stupid play calling let them off the hook. They have quality kids to fill the voids left by graduation. They have one the best QBs in the area, based on potential, but he has to run to the sideline for every play. Kills his rhythm and slows the game down, which plays into the favor of the bigger schools that they play early. NewCath needs to make a change in order to move forward. Holy Cross and Lloyd are going to be tough enough this year so this might be a down year for the breds. I hope that I'm wrong but good teams in the area, mixed with bad play calling, equals a down year.

Recently heard they got a transfer from another Campbell Cty school. Can anyone confirm?

Heard same.

Good team as always.

Might be hard to replace the stud running back.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them in title game....again.

I agree.. New Cath has been to the finals 8 of the last 9 years and its almost always the same in the 2A east that a team from Northern Kentucky will go to state even though Somerset has had excellent shots and even Danville this year...

WRs need to step up to help out stud qb. D has to fill the shoes of Tallon and Lawrence who were both game changers that had to be accounted for every play. Be ready for the Holy Cross run game come district play.

That makes three of us.

Pretty tough non district schedule. They sometimes take some lumps, but it pays off for them and you can't argue with the recent results.

And the player is......

What do all 3 posters have in common? That should at least get you started. Perhaps someone from the hill can confirm. Certainly helps the Breds in my book.
