Reds have given up 129 in 77 games. At that pace they will give up 271 in 162 games.

Not surprising, I couldn't believe that this past weekends shutout victory was the first all season. As Sir Charles would say, that's turrible.

Another surprised. Reds pitchers throw it right down the middle.

Where does this staff rank in walks? They have improved recently but they have to rank high in walks.

If you can't be good at being good, why not be great at being bad?

Has Jumbo been brought back yet...that would lock it up.

Thru 79 games the Reds have allowed 342 Walks. The next team is SD who has allowed 305.

The Reds have now given up 134 HRs. The next team is Philly with 103 allowed.

Keeping up the pace tonight.

Wow! Playing 1/2 your games in Great American Batting Practice definitely impacts the 134 HRs, but the walks are inexcusable. Yes they have a very young starting staff and very troubled bullpen, regardless of age, but throwing strikes is an essential part of the game that should have been learned well before any of them arrived at the MLB level. If your control doesn't allow you to divide the zone into 9 boxes and hit 1 of those 9 90% of the time, divide it into 4 quadrants and aim for the middle of the 1 you are trying to hit. If you can't get it in that quadrant 90% of the time, you probably don't belong in the show unless your stuff is filthy (and even then you're not going to last long). The hitting is too good if you are just trying to get the ball over the plate somewhere.

These numbers sky rocketed in Washington this past weekend. WOW!!!!!
